I just read this really useful tip in my 360 mag.

apprently obliv uses the hd extensivly to cache game data. sometimes the data can get overly fragmented, causing long load times, pop up, slow down et cetra et cetra. To fix this reset the xbox and hold down the a buttonas the game is booting up. once you see the bethseda softworks logo video the games loaded and the cache should be cleared meaning quicker load times.

I tried this and it worked for me so i thought i'd share the knowledge

Yes, this is a handy tip and works great. Another goof I did was I kept just creating new save games until I had like 400!!

This caused the save/load game windows to get slow, as they tried to load, sort, and display such a long list. I deleted this list down to 5-10 key save points, and moving through the save screen is much faster now.

To clear cache: Hold down A button while inserting CD. Keep holding until you see the Bethesda logo.

Which of the two logos? There is one that looks like the old one from orrowind and there is a new one that has a inverse cog tooth on it. Which of these is the symbol you are refering too?

I just held the a button down whilst turning on the console. that seemed to do the job. i then stoppped holding it when it began the intro movie.
