According to the Rules Commentary if a Units Datasheet has the Fly Keyword that Unit is said to be able to Fly. An attached Unit has all the Keywords of all its Models and counts as one Unit for all Rules Purposes. Does this mean Tyranid Warriors with winged Tyranid Prime attached the Unit can Fly ?

"FLY : If a units datasheet has the FLY keyword, that unit is said to be able to FLY."

"KEYWORDS

Some units can contain models that have different keywords. While this is the case, such a unit is considered to have all of the keywords of all of its models, and so is affected by any rule that applies to units with any of those keywords...."

You are correct unless the Tyranid Warriors has something in their rules against it.

If a model can Fly, then when it makes a Normal, Advance or Fall Back move, it can be moved over enemy models as if they were not there, and can be moved within Engagement Range of enemy models when making such a move. Note this also means that Monster and Vehicle models that can Fly can be moved over other Monster and Vehicle models when making such a move. However, models that can Fly cannot end their move on top of any other models or within Engagement Range of any enemy models.

When a model that can Fly starts or ends a move on a terrain feature, instead of measuring the path it has moved across the battlefield, you instead measure its path ‘through the air’, as shown in the diagram below.

KEYWORDS
  • Some units can contain models that have different keywords. While this is the case, such a unit is considered to have all of the keywords of all of its models, and so is affected by any rule that applies to units with any of those keywords. Remember that attacks are made against units, not models.
  • If a rule only applies to models with a specific keyword, then it instead only applies to models in such a unit that have the correct keyword.
  • As you can see from the highlighted text above, Fly only applies to models that have the Fly keyword on their unit's datasheet. While attaching a character with Fly to a unit gives the unit the keyword, it does not add it to the bodyguard units datasheet. Those models cannot Fly.

The unit has the keyword 'Fly', for the uses of being targetted as a flying unit, once a model with 'Fly' attaches to it.
But, the models do not get 'Fly' ability, if they did not have that keyword to begin with.

Thats what confused me. It doesn't seem right that the Unit suffers the Disadvantage of Fly and not benefitting from the Advantage. If the Warriors can't fly they shouldn't be wounded by Anti Fly.

Yep and this is why people take that model on its own or just don't take it at all right now. It's daft that the only prime has wings and must have wings and yet the Warrior Kit can build a prime without wings.

It stands to reason that at some point GW must be releasing a new warrior kit with wings at some stage (I maintain this is why they dropped all their close combat options as I'd wager GW have swapped out all those close combat weapons on the sprue with wings).

Think about it like this. A squad of marines has jump packs. A captain is attached without jump pack. They can't carry him so he can't fly

I can imagine that, but its against the Rules. You cannot attach a non JP Captain to a JP Unit.
