Those are some decent modeling skills!

I began work on my newest Tyranid Prime. Body is now good to go, and repositioned arms are ready for installation. But I have to make the lower arm sockets a bit bigger, then magnetize the upper sockets for gun options.

Hoping to get this one in primer by tonight.

-edit- Built! But not primed. Looks pretty good, if I do say so myself. Anyone care for a photo?

Those are very nice Rolt, you certainly have some sculpting skills! Dare say there would be a market for 'sci-fi fish-head manga women' if you were so inclined..

30% completion is a lot better than "a big pile of plastic and pewter" They look good, dunno about specifics on which to comment (like, well they really look like mid-war germans, and your camo pattern is off by 15 degrees ), but they look pretty cool

How much does an army like that run, if I may ask? I think there's a guy in town who does historicals and I might have to make a switch in gears if I want to have any wargaming opponents.

Anything from £20-£40 for the most 'elite' force (box of Tiger tanks), up to a couple of hundred £ if you were to buy a Strelkovy force (Soviet infantry horde) if you were to buy from Battlefront. You can certainly get a nice mixed force for well under £100 if you go for PSC plastics.. I went for some of these, with a mix of about 3-4 company's stuff (and one indulgence of BF Mobile Rockets) which came to about £120 or so for a complete army, including money spent on paints and stuff.

And thanks for the comments on my blog guys!

There are several levels of judging, so feel free to play to your talents or join me at the low end for cultist

And then I'm going to keep checking my email and wondering my my Litko bases have been in production for nearing two weeks =/

I'm testing my hand at terrain building.

The bases for my pieces are larger than 60mm though, GrimDork Otherwise I'd consider that contest.

I have a whole day at it today. Tasks done so far include prepping the last three marines in a tac squad, prepping my next 10 night gobbos, and making a press mold for my shoulder insignia. Jobs still to do are finish off a bunch of spider riders (just eyes to do), dip said spiders, and make a start on painting my aleph starter.

Don't feel unmotivated. Not everyone is able to post stuff on a daily basis and considering how many eager hobbyist DakkaDakka has, your thread is bound to slowly move to the older pages. It just happens

I know, the last post was on last Thursday, so 5 days. The back and forth I've been having with people on my blog has been awesome, but it's been on my end that content has slacked. Which is usually my issue with these blogs. Yesterday though I was like, "I need to paint, I gotta update my blog." Which was was motivation enough to sit down and paint for about an hour or so. So I call that a win in my book

Today I am moving hobby stuff out of my room, and putting it in the now hobby room. It will have to be moved again soon, as the closet in the hobby room needs some new shelves very badly.

If I find motivation and am not too distracted by video games tonight (new computer), I will probably work on finishing the last rhino chassis of my current BT stuff. That will be nice, as I can finally get painting!

@Alf, that's the blog's job. It applies subtle pressure on you to get stuff done, and through responses rewards you for completing said work

I've had some good suggestions for my Junk Pile for the contest, so I'll try to work on that if I get a spare moment.
