DeadZone is IN! So there was unboxing that, and checking everything was there (it was). I have no Superglue and no ability to get some until tomorrow, so bulding the minis is a no-go. Right now, I'm enjoying my Friday evening filing mould lines off the terrain... Why oh why do they need a mould line inside the connector holes?

Seriously, though, it's awesome stuff, but having broken a few connector pieces in my initial play-around with it, I strongly suggest anyone else getting DZ takes the time to file off the mould lines and check every connection you intend to use before committing to building/glueing anything. It sounds obvious, but it's worth remembering to prevent any early breakages.

I finally built a squad of old metal Dark Reapers, fixed a Dire Avenger, and glued the sword arm to a metal Avatar. Also got my hobby desk put where it needed to be, so the work could actually get done. I need a lamp though.

Last night I went through my Deadzone box, and wasn't missing a thing! Even had some extras.

So far this morning I have updated my P&M Blog for all my BT assembling progress. Link is in my sig, called 214th Corsairs (BT were going to be allied, but now stand alone).

I have a few more shoulder pads to clean up and some storm shields to stick to the foam today. After that, I may run to work to prime stuff!

I was going to assemble my 20 gargoyles and flyrant, but apparently GW doesn't understand that express delivery tends to mean next day and have been waiting a week after it got dispatched, so unfortunately I'm going to keep trekking through my 80 odd termagants that need painting :(

Procrastinating.

I have my Stompa to touch up.
A trukk to build.
Some boys to build.
A Necron/Nob combo to paint.
Not to mention the tons of scenery to build & paint.

Instead I'm sat on the sofa watching Buffy.

Apologies for talking positively about games I enjoy.

Another victory for procrastination!

I have stoopid numbers of Orks to paint, some beasts of nurgle to finish and an ork zeppelin to build.

Instead i'm being dragged by my wife to the Christmas Fair holiday market, probably all fething day.

AND i'm missing a monthly 40K tournament to do it.

today sucks. Maybe i'll get some painting in in the evening or something..

I continue the grand adventure of moving house and packing up my hobby stuff. So today my only casualties are a fairly catastrophic spill involving a bits organizer drawer containing 3 warpath enforcers except for the guns. I managed to track down all 3 legs, 9 arms (which is correct, I already converted one arm), and even all 3 heads... but I can't find one of the torsos. About the largest piece of the models and I can't find it. I was figuring I was lucky to find one head early on, surprised I found all 3, have *no clue* what happened to the last torso. Maybe when I'm shopvacing the basement after I get everything moved I'll hear that distinctive rattle and after some digging I won't be out a model. We'll see!

Bit discouraged, but I guess I'll still be moving my hobby sector to the new digs.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

It's the traditional LR, GD. Somebody just decided to make the most mediocre sound the most badass.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Oh, sorry, I was being facetious

Standard LR = Phobos pattern: http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Land_Raider

Land raider Lascannon = godhammer pattern: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Lascannon#.Uqz2x-LY6Dk

Its a nitpicky thing, kind of like the whole magazine/clip thing.

It would have made more sense via tone of voice in person

With all of those inquisitors around, you gotta be careful. Mess up your patterns or shine your imperial boots in the wrong direction, and they'll have you in the interrogation room for hours

I built a few finecast Rangers, based some Warlocks, had to fix one singing spear and a long rifle that had snapped in half... the metal spear was actually easier to fix than the finecast!

My Eldar forces will soon be painted! I am taking suggestions - anyone think a rainbow theme would work well?

Putting a killa kan together (if I can finally get the nerve to assemble it).
Also putting a tactical marine back together for the 90th time (I swear, I just pick one model up and it falls off it's base)

That sounds like an interesting idea! Maybe make the soulstones multicolored as well? (though rainbow soulstones would probably be a massive pain to paint)

Today I magnetized the redeemer weapons for my Land Raider, and put some LR pieces in some simple green. Crusader weapons will be magnetized once they are cleaned up from the simple green.

I thought about magnetizing the Tornado weapons for my land speeders, but after looking closer at it, decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

I have to find a missing piece for one of the LR sponsons, and then clean up turret rings and options for the razorbacks. May do that still today, or I may work on some other projects.

Also deciding if I want to get resin bases for all the BT or not. Everything is on plastic bases right now, but it would be easy enough to cut those off at this point.

Have you looked into clear acrylic bases? Seems to be a bit of a polarizing subject... but I quite like them.

I like them for something like on deadzone (which I will may go that route), but since I don't play 40k on a nicely printed mat, clear acrylic bases would just show through to plywood or a grass mat.
