Finishing up my weaponized big mech dreadball MVP. Then either cleaning some sedition wars minis or painting a reverend moira.

I'm building one of those dollar papercraft model buildings during my lunch break and while my students go to the computer lab.

When I get home I'm finishing a Trollkin warlock, a unit of troll champions, basing a slag troll, touching up a troll impaler I've had on my table for nearly a year, and clearing them all out of the way so I have something besides blue skin to paint for a while.

After that it's time to finish my Bones hydra who's been sitting on the table since they came out.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Watch and listen to me ramble about these minis before ruining them with paint!

Got Hawkeye/Recon and Red Shulkie/Dr. Simmons painted up for Deadzone. Check em out in the "Show off your..." thread over in the Mantic Subforum.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Last night I put 15 tanks, and a bunch of monstrous creatures and fantasy monsters in a big bath of simple green, and then built a Skyray.

Tonight I have a date with 15 blister packs of finecast models, all Necrons and Tyranids. It will be a marathon of opening, sorting, cleaning, scraping, gluing, and then drying under a fan. Can't wait.

I literally just moved some fronds and drybrushed a 15mm (so, about 3cm tall) tree yesterday. Must try harder!

11 blisters, 2 mission boxes, a TAG and a six man starter box all for only $200

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

@jono oooh that's a lot of Infinity grats

After a really easy assembly, gearing up to basecoat this Academy Merkava tank. Think I've determined which colors to paint it (though the scale modeler people would probably have my head for inaccurate colors etc), so gonna get on that. Also planning to undercoat a crazy undead lich/necromancer/something model I got several years ago. Something to do when I run out of active projects (yeah right). My deadzone may finally be coming soon as well, so if there's any "extra" time, I'll be trying to clean and organize my hobby space a bit to make room.

Finished my GUO. Now basing the big blob.

My bases for that army are built up in several layers of slime and trimmings, so it'll be all day before he's done.

Finishing up my unit of Beasts- nearly to the point where i can wash them.

Building Deadzone terrain from the starter box now the models are all painted.

Terrain is decent but ---as is known---comes with not nearly enough of the proper connectors in the starter.

Have hot glued some basic structures since I won't be reconfiguring them.

Well I went ahead and decided to take some pics to spice this thread up a bit, all the work I did today, HOBBYWISE-LIKE:

My simple green tank bath (the jar is weighing down the Shadowsword, the other tanks are not floating, they're just stacked on top of so many other tanks soaking up the SG underneath:

Assembled my very Royal Court, all the Necron ICs (Anrakyr is built and packed away, and minus Orikan, he's built and painted in my display case):

My desk fan drying off the whole marathon:

The mess I need to clean up, probably tomorrow because I'm too tired now:

More stuff to do tomorrow!

Its not proppa grimdark painting unless you are painting my candlelight, with the candle made of rendered human fat and stuck onto a human skull..

Not that i'm recommending this as ideal painting conditions, to be sure

Oooh, don't do the skull. Use the fat on the severed skeletal hand of a thief (i think it's a thief) with five wicks. Hands of glory are always ..ahem.. useful. (had to avoid the obvious pun there, lest I be drug to pun hell forthwith).

Was gonna dip my 1/48 Merkava but I was rushing. Will finish small details and drybrush tomorrow *then* dip.

I went into my local GW to pick up some metal figs (so they still had some last week) and ended off buying one of those limited run munitorium battlepacks. Thought it wasn't that bad a deal since it came with a case, but it turns out it didn't, so I'm trying to figure out if I've been ripped off or not.

You got ripped off I think mate. Too me it looks like a backpack you could pick up for 10-15 pound in primark that is four times the piece because They stamped the Imperial eagle on it.

A friend has just got me back into 40k for 6th, so need to pick up the new daemons book and start dragging my daemons on to round bases again.

Games are roughly 1,000 - 2,500 points, so ill need to re base and paint around 3,000 points of daemons.
That way i can change units as i need to without having a lump of grey on the table.
