I got together with my gaming group today and got some 40k in. Pretty great time. I have the Blood Angels and Guard. My buddy has the Imperial fists. It was a very close and fun game.

It looks like fun, Land raiders always seem like they'd be fun to have in games. Points to the IF army for bringing a dread

@Kelly, are you reprimanding us for chatting, or asking for something in particular?

He actually has another Dread in the upper corner you can't see. It was taken out by a lowly sniper scout later in the game.

Haha, sweet. I have four, I've always tried to find a way to fit them into lists (theoretical though they may be). I've really got to nail down a theme and scheme and get a marine force done so I can try playing again some time.

I'll try to get some pics up next time I'm around, then, I've been taking them, but it's harder to do the fancy stuff with Madame Toddlerington is up and about.

I painted my Iron Patriot heavy weapon figure for Deadzone. Beyond that...just video games. lol

Just finished painting three more Ashigaru, gloss varnished them and added some texture to the base. Gonna finish up tomorrow. Also gloss varnished and added foliage to the base of the two I have already done. Felt it needed the gloss to toughen them up because I dropped one and had to touch it up.

Also just added some texture to my movement tray. Annoying trying to do it without blocking up any of the cutouts.

Worked a bit on my Inquisitor, pretty much finished my Jokaero apart from the base, and built some servo skulls.

Also finished my two scratchbuilt barricades, working on my heavily weathered metal technique. Pretty happy with these.

Also finished off this Deathmark, made from leftover bits from an Immortals kit plus legs from a Ghost Ark. Free Deathmark, materialising out of Hyperspace.

Your barricades look excellent!

I may have to take inventory of my space marine collection and possibly start a thread asking for advice in regards as to what to do with them.

I may put some more work in on my battlezone bulidings, I've got one based yellow and I may detail it so I can dip it later.

@Kelly- That is a scratch made board. My buddy (canadian beaver on here) has been working on it for awhile. Was great to get to play on it.

Actively trying to convince myself to get off Dakka, shower, get coffee and clean my apartment. Oh...hobby wise. Right. Painting up some more Deadzone models after that.

Today I be mostly painting deadzone buildings. Far too slowly, to be honest, though it is tricky to get much done when you are stuck in an audio conference for 12 straight hours.

Fantastic! Where did you get your ruined bz bits from? I didn't realize that the bz release stuff was out already. Or am i seeing custom work?

Your signboards are brilliant, finally a good use for those little 90 degree connectors! Do you mind sharing your process for the boards and adds as well? I *really* like the overall look you've gotten with your medicenter, I may have to.... nah I may just have to steal that outright it's awesome!

Excellent work though, some good inspiration in there

Lovely terrain. I'm hoping to get in some painting tonight, or perhaps a game of Catan. We shall see!

The above posts do make me want to build my rocky landscapes terrain into something usable though...

I got given a couple of the ruin sprues by Mantic at their stand at Salute 2014 in London. If you could prove you were a DZ kickstarter backer they gave you ruin sprues
Might have to buy some more when they go on general sale as they are really nicely done.

The sign boards are old GW half-regiment warhammer movement trays. I just glued them to those 90 degree connectors and resized the posters to fit. The Soylent one is one of a set a mate of mine did (he's an art director and entirely too good at that sort of thing - those walls in the background were some of his textures as well). I knocked up the medicenter sign as an experiment in how to do weathering in photoshop. And as an excuse to have a picture of a nurse in a tiny skirt on the table.

Haha, well it's all awesome Too bad I only have a full-regiment base, might just have to make it into a bigger sign

That's right, I had thought I had heard something like that about the ruins, but couldn't remember.

Great stuff, please do grace us with more when you have it

I've had a VERY busy weekend...

I've just got some extra details and things to do, a bit of highlighting (and deciding the gun colours), plus painting the hair. However... Plague Strike Team Alpha is pretty much done!

First we have the Civilians.

I'm pretty sure there's a rule someplace that at least 1 Plague model must be painted with purple trousers.

Then we have the local Militia.

And... The Plague Lord. A lesson I learned from this guy was doing the 'prebrushing' on my second gen was actually incredibly useful. I skipped it out on this guy and his carapace has ended up looking a bit too dark and a bit too brown.

And finally, we have a family photo!
