Refinished a second Grey Hunter squad with freehand and touch-ups. Next up is PA Wolf Guard or Wolf Scouts. By the time they're done, the Dread should hopefully have arrived.

I need to get cracking on my diorama, only 10 days left and a few of them I'll be at Gencon. I need to reorganize my hobby room too, need to reduce the space i'm using so I can work in a seating area and ''work table'' for my daughter so she can play with play-dough, blocks, little people, pilfered models, and the like... while I get some hobbying done .

Spent most of the day doing non-hobby stuff, then noticed there was no wind. Time to spray seal! Got all of my painted Infinity models dullcoted and bases finished with deserty tufts, and also finished off my first Malifaux model. A Terror Tot. I wanted to try GW's 'Blood for the Blood God' paint, and it was absolutely wonderful. I'll be sure I keep that one in my range.

Well actually, I'm setting up a "man room" upstairs finally, that's always nice, I can stop picking up my hobby mess from the kitchen table. Although I'm going to miss those giant kitchen windows.

Still plugging away at Blood Angel stuff, finishing up my Stormraven.

I have two more drop pods to finish up, oh well three, I have a Forge World dreadnaught drop pod that I'm attempting to magnetize. First time at this, I'm going to have to put in more, I thought 3 magnets woudl do it, one on each side of the doors, with about 1/4" of a paperclip drilled and glued into the hatch, that didn't work.

Got grenades, pouches, canteens, greenstuff to finish them off. And those darn mold lines

Gotta make a banner bearer, 2 special gunners and finish of the librarian who will accompany them.

I'm the opposite, I like the pressure of all the kits out, plus I can switch it out if I need a break from something. Packing things up and keeping out what you're going to get done is an excellent way to go, more of a realist. Funny thing is, when I go to the 40K closet of endless things, I drag loads out because I go in there for something upon opening the closet I see something that sparks an idea then I end up dragging out 4 trips worth of things to the kitchen... The wiff gets home, and I get scolded.

Working on the man roomcave today when I get up from my after work nap. So excited!! I do need a desk though. I did see these smallish plastic tables at Target that have the metal folding legs, I could beat it up and I won't feel bad. Need one of those largish floor mats one uses under chairs in offices to help keep me out of trouble for when I drop paints on the carpet. I do need to rip out the carpet up there, and place a hardwood floor in.

Any ideas on a decent desk or work table out there?

My most productive weekend of painting ever. Also, I absolutely love painting Malifaux models.

I also love GW's blood effect paint.

Not sure if you have freecycle in the states. Its an online thing where you can post all your old stuff you want rid of, and folk come and pick it up. I picked up two massive desks and whirly chairs from an office that was closing down for nothing. One for the man cave, and another for my studio. Because they were freebies, I don't mind that one is now covered in paint, glue etc, and the other has racks screwed into the top for all my rack gear. Worth a look anyway.

Since yesterdays test model was a success I am going forward with the rest of the squad... takes a bit of time but I think it is worth it.

This is the one from yesterday. It's the first time I try out oilwashing on a mini I am actually gonna use. (To bad the lighting keep messing up the more subtle effects)

Hopefully I get all 5 done today so I can move on to the next stage.

I tried cleaning my Cold Navy ships and found it a huge pain so I have just put them in a jar of acetone for a few days. They are metal.

Having given up that bit of work I fiddled around with my 2mm New Kingdom Egyptian army a bit, sorted out the bases required, and started to clean things up prior to basing.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...
