That was ludicrous.

Finished my Talos, now I'm using the spare torso I bought on eBay to build a Cronos from the spare parts. Two $46.25 models for about $60.

I am going to have a good 6-7 hours worth of model time tonight so I plan on doing a bit.

Need to find some super clean and brake fluid for some of my really nasty models. Then I am going to paint a test Imperial Fist using P3 paints.

I need to order piles of bitz to finish off some of my half broken/missing part models including piles of Leman Russes and 2 Laser Destroyers.

Then I am going to finish up cleaning mold lines off some assault marines and hopefully finish my drop pod i've spent way too many hours on.

Hopefully some bits from Empress Minis will turn up today so I can start on my test pieces for my mid-war Italian army for next year's Bolt action tournament.
Going for a mostly cavalry force so ordered some Spanish Civil War Nationalist cav for conversion purposes. Did a test piece for the bases yesterday that came out well.

I attempted to pre- order Khaine: End Times today, at the order point, in the store..and watched it sell out in 2 and a half minutes *shakes fist* 3rd person in the effing store after the order point updated and I couldn't put the thing in my cart after i logged in.

Heck, the glottkin and nagash softcover books were sold out before that.

I got my khain cards pre-ordered, and I will get the first copy of khain that shows up in the store.

And then I discussed some ideas for 'Nid kill teams before I left...and verified that my Shield of Baal book has at least arrived (stupid snow out east), although I can't get it until tomorrow.

It's supposed to be scary, she is a Vampire! lol
Oh and that's part of the title of my book...my nanowrimo book

It's more insane then it's title (The Magically Ridiculous Life of Sarah Myo)
It has, amongst many things, faeries who live in our world and co-exist with us (and they aren't too nice) god like aliens who were made to destroy the universe (most are nice, one comes to kill all life and fights another one all DBZ style, breaks her neck and hangs her on a stake on a castle, her adopted sister who is a faerie comes to obtain her body and they have a giant animeish fist fight (less DBZ and more Fist of the North Star) to which the horrible alien experiences fear and flees, the faerie is rescued by her girlfriend and recovers enough to later fight the alien's human general, a crazed brony and kills him by fist fighting...and her sister comes back search for spock style.

and in all this insanity there's normal stuff there's love and marriage and baseball... it's the craziest yet my personal favourite story I've ever written, and inspired by my ball jointed dollies.

Fun fact that sword is a cocktail sword I got when I was a kid and kept it in a bible, only reason it survived this long, so I painted it.
The sunglasses are from Barbie, bought them at a doll show, yes I go often to doll shows, oddly I find some good warhammer stuff there too (barrels mostly)

Wow. That vampire. o.o I didn't want to sleep, is okay...

I guess it's pretty lame but, I stripped paint off two mk1 rhinos, made a sweet helmet using Anvil and Maxmini parts for my apothecary, restored a horribly greenstuffed and converted oop techmarine only to decide to use my new dremel (Yay dremel! It has the dakka I need to cut things!) to chop his head off and give him a cool helmet, and I did the same to an old AOBR sergeant I had. I decided he deserved to be stripped as he was my first miniature I ever painted and I feel he deserves to be the last sergeant I make for my army. Also super pumped as I got two packages today, the techmarine and some Stormraven wings for my Stormraven kitbash.

Guess I should put up pics, not that anyone cares lol. Edit: Pictures are blurry but, my hands are shaky today from pain meds. Sorry all.. You get the gist though right? :C (Really just proud of the AOBR dude and the apothecary. )

I couldn't make out everything, but the maximini heads look good. Any progress is progress

Speaking of that.. maybe you guys can help me decide something...

Which method of tall-scaling looks better to you? What I would call my take on Veteran Sergeant's method on the left, or 'give-em-terminator-legs' approach on the right. I sure as heck know which is easier, but which do you guys prefer? I think the terminator mock-up needs to be lowered on the waist a bit, too much bluetack... The other guy is nearly ready for paint so it's not exactly a fair comparison.

Basically going for epic marines for the sake of being epic, lots of honor guard, maybe some devastators, probably measly scouts for troops. Jump pack troops (if any) would certainly have to use the cut-repose method, but for artificer armored honorguard, and big stompy devastators... what do you guys think?

Hm the one on the left looks better but, that's because I've never been a fan of the terminator legs to truescale deal.

Maybe I should retake the photographs?

These are a couple of Chimeras that I've converted to have autocannons, using bits from the Hydra kit. They're still a WIP and I plan to include some extra armor and stowage ( covering the holes in the hull. )

Bubbles, those tanks rock. If you make more make a thread. Since the other photos sucked. Here is my wip troops and the Rogue Trader era Rhino that I stripped bare and added bits too... well, the it's not really a secret what I am turning it into anymore, now is it?

So I hope these pictures are better. The Techmarine Gunner has a totally not wysiwyg conversion beamer for rule of cool, I still haven't added a tip to it yet nor the servo harness. The apothecary is up showing off his anvil industry crest as he is pretty boss imo, and the maxmini head makes the aobr sergeant really come to life. So the new guy is a librarian conversion based off another users conversion on this forum, he still requires a ton of greenstuff work just like the others. Especially around his physic hood. Oh and yeah, got the wings cleaned up for my raven. Anyways click the images, the forum doesn't do it justice in plain view... or maybe it is my cruddy skills haha. What do you think?

Thanks guys! Yeah I took out the lasgun array ports and then covered them with the bit that's meant to go inside and " catch " the lasguns themselves. Although in the end a lot of this is just going to be covered up with stowage, I still wanted something to serve as a base.

I do plan to make a thread for my Imperial Guard at some point. Probably once they're painted though.

@Bubbles do let us know, I like to read blogs, both progress and show-off

@Stormwall much better photos this time around Sometimes just setting the 2 second delay and setting it on the table helps a lot.

That's a tasteful use of half of a carnifex head Is that a vindicator? Looks like you've made good use of plumbing pipe fittings for the barrel.

Looks like some pretty cool poses overall, keep up the good work

Here, I fixed the supertorso on the termalegs tallmarine and added a guardsman for reference, and set them all on the same height:

Nice work on those tallmarines! As for the camera, you are so right. I have a solar light on my hobby desk, which is good for vitamin D and photoshoots. However, it is crowded due to my LoER contest terrain and other tidbits so I used my main desk as the area. However, I take pain meds for my hip and it causes my hands to shake. Oops... So I hit the auto adjust button, stabilize myself and lean my elbows on the table, boom, better but, not perfect picture. And yes, I converted an Rhino which had already been turned into a Whirlwind into a Vindicator. And yes that poor head. The other half is on the other round side, haha. They are for the Sons of Orar chapter, a force comprised of basically disposable marines, who are ultramarine successors clad in old suits of Mk 6. Never fear though, as they come in red! Yeah, I just used this ancient STC to guide my process... This is still supposed to be a surprise with my HUGE update I have planned for my P+M blog but, psh, I only have two followers anyways, Gitsplitta and Lipsdapips... so really, as long as we don't tell them, it doesn't matter. (The others have been lost to the warp...) So yeah, shush!

Spoiler:

My stepfather has to use a mask for sleep apnea, the dang things cost hundreds of dollars and are covered by insurance but, that still doesn't defeat how expensive they are. So when his masks break at the usual 5-6 month mark, he lets me steal expensive parts that would normally be thrown away.
