Ehh, that's kind of what I was figuring. Most of those cards seem to only have a few unique pieces of information anyway. Seems legit, especially until they get off their bums and make another run of those ships that are coming up hard to find. Obviously the kind of thing you won't bring to a tournament, but also the kind of thing your friends and local players really shouldn't be inclined to care about.

Yeah, I don't see myself playing in any tournaments. I only got the game to play with friends at home over Christmas.

My whole plan from the start was to just make a small 'self-contained' Star Wars game, using only the base set, the Millennium Falcon, and Slave1 to balance things out. That would have given me Luke, Han, Chewie, Lando, all the most famous ships and Boba Fett as the bad guy. That sounds like quite a comprehensive scenario, so I never wanted to expand the forces beyond that.

But yeah, not being able to get the Falcon or the Firespray anywhere was a major spanner in the works. I ended up getting the Lambda and the Yt-2400 instead to try and make do. But the Lambda isn't much of a match for the Outrider, and it didn't feel the same with half the characters and the most iconic ships missing. Which is why I decided to just try and proxy the missing ships.

I'm not really sure what to do with the other ships now. It seem like having the Falcon and the Outrider together (both with 360 turrets) is going to be a bit unfair on the Empire team, and the Lambda isn't very fun if it's the only ship you get to control. Perhaps I'll house-rule it that the Lambda can pivot once stopped, that might solve some of its issues and make it feel a bit more agile and shooty.

The Revel Mini milenium falcon is a pretty good deal. think I got mine for less than a fiver. Sadly my girlfriend knocked it over at some point and the cover for the cockpit is lost to the ether.

Today was fun. Played through the tutorial of Star Wars Imperial Assault and then created a smuggler character for Star Wars Edge of the Empire.

I think the Lambda is mostly there to support your other ships anyway, being hard to control is likely part of it's deal... but you're right that it may not be as fun to solely control. The Lambda is more the opposite number to the HWK anyway, the YT 2400 seems to be more balanced against the Decimator. At least in terms of being both large ships that were released in the same wave, much like the falcon and slave1.

Good to hear it Carlos, always warms my heart to hear of other gamers gaming

Revel Falcon huh.. may have to look into that.

Just gonna throw this out there... saw it while looking up the small one:
http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Millennium-Falcon-Model/dp/B0013J5QQ0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418577926&sr=8-1&keywords=revell+star+wars+snaptite

If you watch the video, the little Han and Chewie components look fairly similar in scale to 28mm models. Could make this Falcon a nice centerpiece for a 28mm wargame table And it looks to go for around 35 bucks Or maybe 40, I guess that other one sold.

I got my Dreadball Xtreme today, wrote an unboxing and tried out the first couple of turns as well.

Already found out one major tactical error to avoid.

Game looks good though, just need to flatten the mat out over night.

There is not this idea.

Trying to make a hill out of cardboard. Probably should have used better cardboard. Maybe it'll be a... really ugly hill, instead.

GW put the templates for that style drop pod in french online years before the new Forgeworld Dreadnaught drop pod was a thing.

The doors are the most fiddly bit to shape and glue, so I'd rather only deal with it 3 times per drop pod instead of 5.

Also tidied up some more Malifaux.
