Traded 10 Termies with TH/SS and Lysander for two Monoliths.
Great deal for me since I think that Monos will get a boost in the new dex and i no longer play Termies in my BA army.
The DC has to do the dirty work.

Indeed, I guess that Destroyers and Monoliths will improved in the codex.
GW may want to sell some shelved units.

Well I was converting some Uruk-Hai Pikemen from Sappers, but then there was a little bit of a knife-through-finger incident. Nothing major, but an annoyng setback as I wanted to get them painted up this evening.

From your workbench RD? I wonder....
Wuestenfux, from what I have heard of Warmahordes you don't need all that many models (compared to say, 40k). But your constant reports of 'more banes' have me wondering... Am I mistaken in how many models are fielded in those games, or are you just... 'enthusiastic' about your army as some of us get? Just curious, making me doubt my preconceptions of the game is all.
Dipped two more models last night, gonna seal and base them today to bring the total to 17, and then start working through my paint queue.

Well, my finger stopped bleeding, just time for me to break my last knife blade on the first cut of Conversion: Round 2. Obviously the universe or some higher power finds my Uruk-Hai conversions too shoddy, so I'm now back to painting instead. ( Uruks primed and ready to go, might try and get 2 batches of already-built ones done tonight.

No I am being a dick and using jungle trees, stole the idea.
Adding bits of dryads and stuff... They don't look bad.
The Dryads are all the sprite things. Has Orion cause I love his model... Not sure how well the army will fare but whatever.

Glad you asked.
Indeed, I'm enthusiastic about Crxy.
I play two infantry casters.
Goreshade 2 has elite cadre [Bane Thralls].
I play 20 Bane Thralls and 10 Bane Knights here.
The elite cadre allows to add a Bane Thrall if one Bane Thrall kills a living model.
And Banes hit like a ton of bricks.
Bane Lord Tartarus also can spawn Banes. Knights are even more scary.
The other caster is Asphyxious 2 who can bring Banes back to life.
Quick counting showed that I spent about 500€ for my Cryx army so far.
And I still have not all models I want or need for both lists.

Oh oh ok, so it's something like a WHFB vampire counts army needing to keep a bunch of spare zombies around for healing/summoning new units. Roger, thanks for explaining
Just gotta put bases on those two models. I've more or less finished up my too-simple-scheme for the Big Stompy Robot, so I guess I'll just double-seal that (as dipping a mostly black model seems... i dunno... pointless? especially since it's harder to dip such a large model). I'm also aiming to get the pilot done and at least 3 more zombies so... Maybe by the time the day is over I'll be up to 22 models for the year.. maybe.

Got 4 Uruk Pikemen, 3 Swordsmen, a Captain and a Beserker done bar painting the bases.
100 minis in a month, all LotR, is something I'd not have even considered possible a year ago, but now it's looking like I just might make it. This bunch takes me to 65, so once I add in two more duplicate Warbands I'm on 83, and I should be able to scrounge up another 17 more miscellaneous minis to bring me to a nice round 100. Can I do it without burning out, that's the question...

Just remember, guys, quantity doesn't neccessarily mean quality. (Unless you're an Ork player) I may have painted a lot, but none of it is more than tabletop standard.

Cool stuff! And I think you're still doing as much work as me; the beauty of the LotR stuff is that most of it is just three colours, armour, cloth and flesh, and then it's done, whereas most of those are a fair bit more involved.

Finishing up a Imperial Guard Wyvern, primarily getting ready to add wear and tear/mud to it.
Also been messing around with greenstuff, created a mold for an Imperial Guard plasma gun, arm and all. I'll be removing the green stuff from the mold later today; curious to see how it comes out.

You say Fiery Crash! I say Dynamic Entry!

Ehh most of that stuff is just a few colors too. I am looking forward to some of the smaller monsters from bones though, likely to be simple but still fun to do and have on the shelf. I don't get to use the same colors on too many of the same model, but other than that, they've all been pretty simple so far.

Just finished off another 8 Uruks, and after them and the Dwarves I'm more than a little bored with grey and brown metallics. So the last lot of them will have to wait a while, maybe some Easterlings or Goblins up next.
