And a flurry of brushes later, the Strike Team is done. I reckon they're close to the best DZ stuff I've done to date, so hopefully I can get some pics tomorrow.

Well I'm supposed to be studying, but I've managed to lay out the plans for a Soviet War Monument for my Stalker stuff (which I keep getting the urge to drift into just being a modern war in Ukraine project, but I'm resisting). Besides that I've had the usual gander about the internet for cool pictures for some model inspiration and tried to lay out some sort of road map for what I'll do with my miniature's backlog over the two weeks I'll have free after my exams are over with. =P

Does waiting on the mail count as "doing" something, hobby-wise??
Because that's what I'm doing. I have some X-Wings and a couple of slightly larger ships coming in the mail in the next couple days for X-Wing

Rounded out a day of Deadzone with washing and basing a Plague starter set, they should, in theory, look much better with those two simple additions. I feel a game coming on tomorrow (although probably against myself )

Good progress on the Terminator Sergeant, body is pretty much done, only missing highlighting some armor areas and his face. Tomorrow, finish that and start his arms!

I introduced a newbie to X-Wing today, where I got to try out my TIE Phantom for the first time.
My Phantom did really well, up until the point I parked him in front of 2 B-Wings and an X-Wing.
Poor 'Whisper' never knew what hit him....
He did manage to kill Luke Skywalker first, though.
Aside from that, I'm continuing to work on the revamped Checkpoint Station, where I'm find myself humming the Jurassic Park theme tune while doing so...

You, sir, are a genius! Dear Mantic, please can we have Plague-infested Dinosaurs in DZ2? Pleeeaase? Automatically Appended Next Post: And now I'm building EVEN MORE Enforcers. I swear, I could build these guys for days on end and still keep coming up with new, increaingly complex/stupid ideas. And that's just with Restic, the Plastic ones may do dreadful, dreadful things to my finances and hobby time...

Started working on my 'nid warriors out of my deathstorm set. I was debating (since I now have another 2 sets of warriors to go with the one I have already) if I just want to glue these guys in instead of magnetizing. ('nid warriors part of my 1150 campaign list that I"m participating in.) Or maybe glue in some of the more common weapon options....
My first set is completely magnetized, and I was picky enough to make it look when you snap the arms on, the arms look fairly normal. I didn't do what I've seen a lot of people do in videos, where they just snap the limb socket off of the arm and throw a magnet on. (this means I went in and drilled out the torsos and everything).
However, my first set of warriors, which I never quite finished painting were part of the models that got pulled out of our apartment fire last summer, so the paint job looks like And that set of warriors also includes my 'nid prime.. Also, since then the flesh hooks on the one warrior has partially broken while being bounced around in foam.
Magnetizing warriors is such a pain in the I haven't decided if I really want to just do another set.

@Schlyne - best of luck. I hate magnetizing anything so I understand your pain.
Well, the body of the Terminator Sergeant is done, and I started his arms. I'm hoping I'll finish most of it today so tomorrow I can focus on his base. It will feel mighty good to have these poor chaps from AoBR fully painted, about time they got some love.

I bet ball and socket magnetized arms would be cool on Nids... May have to try some.. though it's not as if I need magnetized nids since I don't play. Hmm something to think about.
That warband looks fun to play with

Bulding EVEN MORE Enforcers as and when the inspiration hits me. By tonight I should have enough for about 3 Strike Teams, and plenty of options therein, so after that I just might hit the Rebs with some Conversions. I have all sorts of stuff that could work for them, I think...

Got some termis that were messed up by a nasty primer job when I first start playing, and the primer wouldn't strip off all the way. Gonna work on replacing what I can with clean, fresh bitz, and see what I can do with the pieces I can't replace. Also, trying to figure out how to model a handful of melta barrels for some termi combi-meltas.

Well I've been delving into the vehicles of the current war in Ukraine a bit. Today I managed to build and paint an up-armoured UAZ van based off of the picture below, and I'm currently giving a similar job to a Gaz-69 jeep. Both will go towards my Stalker blog, though if I were to buy some of the Empress Miniature's new modern Russians I could easily have a go at a game from that war. Heh, yeah but no pictures till I can be arsed updating that blog tomorrow (I've honestly done bugger all this month so I'd like to have a bit more stuff finished before I stick it up here).

Funny enough, I might (might, that is) just about be done with Enforcers! Got 2 more converted to paint up, and 2 more done, but that gives me far more than will ever see a Deadzone (at this point, I could play an Enforcer vs Enforcer vs Enforcer 3-way battle).
So now's its on to the Rebs, and with much plundering of bits-boxes, I hope to be able to throw in plenty of aliens. Already on the roster are Fish-people (counts-as Grogans) and Mouse-people (Counts-as Soraok), but there will be more to follow. Oh, and Starlord...

I've been sadly lacking hobby time of late, knocking my pan in getting my Kickstarter stuff out, but I managed to squeeze in a demo of Malifaux and a quick game of X-wing when I was delivering pledges to my local gaming club. Pretty impressed with Malifaux to be honest, so I think I'll be treating myself to a crew next month. Looking forward to getting the last of the KS stuff away, so I can get some quality time with my man-dollies.
February will consist of getting my debris fields painted up, my Custom X-wing ships cast up, and maybe some development for KS2.

well, I rearranged the warhammer shrine for a couple of pictures, and straightened up the living room a little bit...
Eventually our living room will actually look like a semi normal living room...probably right before we get a house.
1 year of 1 couple's worth of warhammer stuff. (ignore the stack of dvd's... next to the half built stompa)
minus the paint box and my fiance's MT big box, since he was painting in the other room. (and a couple of other random models..Both of us have models our on computer desks.)

Gonna see about playing some X-Wing next week, either at the local gamestore to try and generate interest, or at a friends house pending some factors. Looking forward to getting to use my tiny ships. Since that requires virtually zero preparation time, I'm gonna look into assembling some of my Mars Attacks scenery and maybe some wrecked cars... And, of course, painting it all. I'm not sure if I can pull it off in two weeks but we're set to have our next Pulp Alley battle in North America and I would love to get enough MA buildings done to host the scenery.
