Made a start on some 15mm Americans for a D-Day game later in the year and a more general list as well.

Rescued some old models painted five years back in GW colours with a respray (didn't strip them first, the shame, they came out ok).

Also painted up a couple of new models and the first of several landing craft.

Lovely light grey/blue colour, think its a bit light but its growing on me now the crew are painted, probably in all the wrong colours but they will do for now.

Really starting to love the vallejo coloured primers and soooo glad I bought an airbrush.

Now just living in terror of the box thats in the post with the rest of them... lots and lots of little bods to paint for June.

Thank you. It's actually doing pretty well already. Nice to know I'm putting this unemployment period to use.

unemployment sucks, having been laid of a few times in the last few years I know the feeling.. All the time in the world, and no cash to do anything with it.. Got some painting done though, hardly a compensation though.

Never thought about writing a book.. mind you no one would read the tripe I'd write

My Dark Angels vs my son's 'Nids. I got absolutely slaughtered by them. A Deep Strike Mishap and over half of my plasma guys blew themselves up - hilarious.

Been repairing canopies. I'm very nearly over the tedious repair hump and into the horrifying scratch-building of undercarriages.

The Rebel Alliance were performing a Salvage Mission while a pirate fleet attempts to evacuate their Asteroid base and hide their stolen contraband from the Galactic Empire, in a truly Epic 400 V 400 V 400 point game of X-Wing.

The game ended very closely between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, with the difference in Objectives Captured becoming the source of the Imperial Victory. - Woohoo!

Wow, that looks fun. Makes me want the big ships too. Is that Tantive IV modified? It looks like it has battle damage.

Yeah, I think the owner had bought it from ebay and converted it up. I don't quite know the whole story behind it all, but sometimes Fantasy Flight replace the damaged models and don't ask for the originals to be returned. - I've heard a story once or twice, of one of the engine sections breaking off.

I still say that sleeping is a hobby related activity.

Especially if you are over 40.

I can't see straight enough to paint if I can't get enough sleep.

Lenin's coming along, but he's been set aside for my Fallout stuff. I'm expanding my road system a bit, though I'm kicking myself that I don't have enough materials to make more sections (I've doubled the number of pieces, but I'd like to have some corner pieces too. Meh, I'll leave those for the next batch). I may start up on some dirt tracks as well when I pick that stuff up, but I'll have to look into how to colour those so I can use them both for Fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. =P

Not sure. Lost track a while ago.

Just finished painting up the next part of my Dreamforge Leviathan, about to finish assembling the rest of my Eisenkern and Valkir troops, then get back to work on painting my Sons of Horus army.

But first, DINNER!

I'm not racing through, as it feels like a book to be picked up in quiet moments but what I have read so far is very good indeed and you should be proud. If I I can pantomime as an eloquent person I'll try and leave a review on the Amazon thing later.
Frustratingly I own a Kobo, and whilst it's very friendly and likes to bombard me with porn stories (searching for Michael Moorcock was an education), I don't know how to port Kindle books across to it.

~

Today I did yet more tedious cleaning and prep of Tanith and my bird plane. Painting seems so very far away, never mind fielding them all. Hoping to get some purple slapped on my orks later. Actually looking forward to batch painting as a break from snorting resin dust and acetone.

Also I drew this for a friend who really wanted it. There's a gorier WIP on the same tumblr, I can't say I understand.

My little pony plus angry marines... well, it's the internet

I continue to be tired after getting into the swing of full hours at work again (landscaping slows/shuts down in the winter, who'da thunk it), but I really need to paint my dreadnought. Been working on scenery too but it's not very far along.

Working on getting my finer freehand down

i need to get those lines even smaller and more smooth. lucky she be a metal model so i can just strip and retry with acetone

Edit: The lines are silver actually with a wash of lev purple from GW. effect is realllllly cool with light from different angles.

I prefer Hello Kitty and Angry Marines to My Little Pony+...

I wonder if there is an unholy hybrid of Hello Kitty and My Little Pont.... A Hello My Little Pony-Kitty centaur?
