I started working on a large urban building for Fallout based on this piece of concept art (an early design for Galaxy News Radio is my guess).
Its the largest piece of terrain that I've worked on so far and probably will take me a good while to finish. At the moment I have the ground floor roughed out, with most of the walls added, but I'm still missing out a lot of the key features. Luckily I'll cover all the flat exterior surfaces in a layer of clay to cover up any gaps and make it look a right state. I'll post an image in my Fallout thread maybe on Wednesday to show off what's happened with it so far, but all I can really think about it right now is how much of a bugger its going to be to transport. =P

We played a big game of Star Wars Armada.
During the game, I sacrificed my Frigate, to do a fair chunk of damage to a VSD, and more importantly, tempt out those TIE Swarms.
And... It worked!
Unfortunately, we ran out of time before we could resolve that mass fighter attack but... I have a good feeling that many X-Wings should be able to take a star destroyer down.

quick question-anyone happen to know if mantics dwarf bulwarkers come with enough spears for the entire unit, or are you stuck giving some of them hand weapons

Building Dark Eldar Wyches that I bought over weekend.
Haven't bought GW models in a long, long time but the these and the Skitarii Rangers looked very nice.
Will probably play either 40k 3rd ed with 'em and/or Bolt Action.

The picture shows 13 spears with extra heavy shields in the front rank soo... Enough spears if you assemble them like that probably? Probably some hand weapons to go in the front with the big shields though.
I've got some magnets, some ball bearings, and *maybe* some time today.... might get around to magnetizing some enforcers!

Painted my Falcon/fire prism body in Holomatic Spectral Chrome from Alcad.
Holy balls is that stuff cool.
Found that painting over Black is tooooo silver and only did the effect in SUPER high light like out in the sun (hissssssssss)
White looks much better. the effect isnt garishly noticeable but it is in basic florescent lighting. i should go take a picture of it

Three more Sedition Wars gribblies (been so long since I last touched the box, I don't even recall which type of Strain they are) prepped, as of last night - looking to knock out a few more today. They wouldn't be nearly as bad if I didn't try to get at every little mold line, but I just can't stop myself from trying. It will likely be the death of me.

Today I recieved a Space Marine Rhino from eBay.
Turns out the pics of the model had been deceptive - his paint was 3 mm thick in some places.
The. Horror.
On a side note, just started painting some of these for my IG:
http://elementgames.co.uk/historical-miniatures-games/wargames-factory/alien-suns-science-fiction-28mm/shock-troopers-sci-fi-infantry-18
They're perfect for 40k - cheap to buy, easy to assemble and they look badass.

I stripped off the paint on all of my models bar the cultists. Painting them to be daemonkin Brazen Beasts or Wrath... (still can't decide which one would help if y'all could chime in!) while this seems insignificant I'm a fluff player so this faction choice will determine the next $200 bucks I'm spending on Warhammer 40k either on The Gorepack for Wrath or the Brazen Onslaugh and another 1-2 rhinos (for some odd reason when I started WH40k I bought 2 LRs and had have to make every list around them... They are fun and all by NO MORE I SAY I demand variety) for Brazen Beasts... SO MANY CHOICES SO MUCH TIME (Head explodes in shower of gore).
Khorne: Yes... Good... Very good...

Fixing a broken knob so I can use the dryer, again. "Not hobby," you say? Well, it's secured in a bar clamp on my cutting mat and I patched the cracks using an X-acto #11, some .010" styrene sheet, and Tamiya Extra Thin. Were it not for the presence of the broken knob, itself, my hobby station would look exactly the same as when I was cleaning mold-lines and assembling troops. A casual observer might think I was still working on my Elves or Strain! Definitely couldn't have fixed it so readily, were it not for my/our hobby.
Have work and a trip to pick up my dog, today, so those last three (2.5, really - already started on one) gribblies in my second SW batch will likely have to wait. I'm chugging away, though, when I have the time.
