From the dead, I arise!
Dug through my model stash and found an AoBR boy suitable for adding to kb_lock's Dakkanaut-painted Ork mob project. Cleaned the mold lines before work and am now pondering hypothetical conversions. Can't decide whether to go hog wild, keep him stock, or get ambitious and do one of each type!

Started priming the DZC Resistance set (Hannibals, Gun Wagons, Jacksons, and the AA turrets for my Lifthawks).
Still need to prime the infantry, Kraken, and Lifthawks themselves.

Had a 40k battle yesterday. Never taking IG vehicles again.
Hellhammer got shot out on T1, and then I got tabled by T3...

But vehicles are hilarious! Tauros look like party-wagons.
Dettol bathed and scrubbed about 25 Mordians. Another batch in the jar, still.
Found out that I'm close to getting banned from using my excessively plasma Leman Russ in friendly games due to his obscene luck. Across the past few months it has overheated once, with 5 heat rolls per turn. It also very rarely misses, averaging 3/5 dead-hits.
It's fuelled by tears and insults at it having a blue glittery paint scheme.

Sadly, however, my meta has developed to the point where unless you're using the SM codex, and are in heavy cover, vehicles have become useless.

Glad I'm not in your meta then. Vehicles are part of what make the game fun and visually appealing to me. As for what I'm doing today, I'm basecoating my Soul Grinder. A couple of coats of the old Scab Red (basically equivalent to the current paint Khorne Red) for the skin, then some Leadbelcher for the metallic details, and of course Mephiston Red for any red bits that aren't skin (like the panels on the legs). Of course, I also have to go to work, so I may not get it all done today.

I run two myself, though I use the Solar Auxilia list, which means no sponsons, but no overheat either. Why hello there MEQ-heavy store scene!

finished up the batch of sde heroes i was working on, and had decent enough weather to clear coat them.
next up, the enemies from the vampire guy expansion (von carlston or something like that)
once i get through them, i'll finally have all my old sde stuff finished, and then its off to the kickstarter stuff (thankfully i only went with the basic pledge, so while its a good chunk, i'm not completely swamped)

Working on a pair of 28mm Rubicon tanks,
Panzer IVH, just in base colours at the moment before the highlighting, weathering etc is started, will be a winter theme similar to the M4 below.
M4A3 76mm, the basic weathering almost finished, the tracks still need black lining then its on to the pigments.
Both nice kits, the M4 nicer to build than the panzer by a long way.
Painting has been pretty basic, base colour spray then oil stains and washes intermixed with varnishing, no actual highlights as yet on either though there will be a bit of drybrushing on both before the pigments start for some nice wet mud...

Oh! Battles count here too? In that case...
Played my first Necromunda game. Unfortunately, we had to bypass a few rules to learn them easier. I swear I'm missing something about the "gang member down," rules. My gang leader was, "down," for most of the game!
Then we learned about weapon malfunction. Maybe giving my gang leader that flamer was a bad idea...

Assembling a Daemon Prince, a kit bashed Chaos Lord on Daemonic Steed, and a Exalted Hero of Khorne. Going to be working on a unit of Chaos Knights next, then the long work of assembling the AOS Starter Box.
Oh well. Say what you will about them, the Sigmarines are super easy to paint.

Currently I'm working on Camels, Goblins and Wizards.
