Kinda like the single cannon makes it a bit lower tech looking. Both are cool. That looks suspiciously unlike a Tau pilot

Figures. If you want a decent looking female sci fi sculpt you have to go to Infinity. Too bad GW doesn't like gross gurls in their manly games.

Also, check out my history blog: Minimum Wage Historian, a fun place to check out history that often falls between the couch cushions. |

If you want a cheesecake female sculpt you can look at infinity . I guess they may have one or two more reasonable sculpts but my statement stands.
Works well with the battlesuit at any rate.

I mostly look to Victoria Lamb, Andrew Rae and sometimes Raging Heroes for my needs.

I've been taking inventory of my Enforcer army in preparation for Warpath.
8 heavy lasers.
5 missile launchers
14 assault enforcer
23 basic enforcers
3 snipers
3 special weapons
4 medics
3 engineers
5 Peacekeeper Commanders
Got another 30 Enforcers, 20 peacekeepers of the new plastic types. Assembled one of the variants of the enforcers each so far, need to figure out what I'm going to do for the rest armywise.

Really Enjoyed my the Fundemental Painting Course from Golem studios. Seriously helped me rethink how I approach painting. Non Metallic metals tomorrow which is something I have never attempted before.

Sounds great! Golem produce awesome stuff, so any tutorial by them is probably worth doing! Best of luck with NMM; it's a tricky one to get the hang of, but it can totally change the way you approach painting, and is far simpler than it looks!
Productive day today; Got Batgirl and Black Canary painted, and should have 2/3 of Joker's clowns painted up by the end of the day. That leaves Huntress, Nyssa, Ringmaster and maybe Harley for tomorrow. Good news is that does then give me two small but playable teams for BMG, so it looks like the uni's game society will be getting a BMG demo next week whether they want one or not!

I didn't know there was a stargate game and miniature line. You must post some links or pics or something!
As for what I am doing today, I am going to hopefully finish Cypher up (he's been almost done for a few days now), then I'm gonna get some work done on his Chosen retinue.

Right now the suit is at this stage, almost done, minus some armour pieces and other bits of conversion:
The left arm has a built-in fusion cutter or the like, representing a close combat weapon or something. The right arm is empty as of now, but I've dug around and am torn between the following two options right now:
#1
Taurox cannon and a single shoulder-mounted minigun for the left shoulder.
#2
Ditch the cannon and shoulder-mounted minigun in favour of a Taurox gatling cannon, because gatling-good.
Pretty good conversion so far!
I'm curious to see how this goes? Are you making a P&M blog?

Arm-mounted miniguns and a shoulder-mounted minigun, because why not?
Next up, greenstuffing the Tau symbols into smooth circles.

Words right out of my mouth. Had a look through all the Infinity factions yesterday and had trouble finding a female sculpt that didn't have boobplate, boobsocks, little metal corsets, or it's arse stuck out in some direction. There might've been one in Ariadna...
But yeah, battlesuit looks groovy.
Today I might... convert some Epic ratlings.

Convert... Epic.... you're mad!
Got the last Joker clown done, and that puts me on 499 minis for the year. Huntress is mostly done, so once I've got her based up as well, that's 500 minis painted since January 1st! The great majority of those, especially the ones completed in the first half of the year, aren't what you'd call 'high quality', but still, I'm going to be pretty pleased with the achievement... Automatically Appended Next Post: And that's 500, folks! Woohoo!

Damn. Still down in the 160 range... silly buying a house and newborn coming along... Impressive feat sir
Again, I'll be watching battle systems urban post apocalypse terrain kickstarter counting down (they've got freaking suburban houses now ) while I mind the children and maybe work around the house (winter prep, yay!).
May work on painting something else, my latest color scheme turned out well so I've got the green light on several more minis.

One Can hope. If my painting is better than it was earlier that will be good for me.
BMG next on my list after Bushido. Also I picked up the Arkham Knight batman model so I can use it as a NMM practice.

Awesome! Not only is that the best Batman model in my opinion, but yeah, the armoured look is great for attempting NMM. Got any pics of what you were working on at the tutorial, or was it just demos/theory rather than you practising? Also, I think the Penguin crew comes in at around 150 points, so AK Bats on his own should actually be a fair matchup, certainly suitable for demoing the game.

This is what I ended up with at the end of the day.
It was demo theory and practice but not full model practice.
Its not the greatest NMM in the world but for learning the techniques and concepts I am willing to accept it as a first attempt.
More importantly than anything I was taught the ability to help know where I went wrong not just in this instance but how to analyse my painting to fix issues in the future. For example the Biggest Issues I have with what I have done here is Colour choice (Should have went for a more yellow brown basecoat) Smoothness of transitions. Which requires more layers of thinner paint and more thought as to where I place it, Diffusing the harsh lines better and just plain old practice. The finial issue is with the edge highlights which need to be neater which is mostly just an issue with practice and brush control (And maybe patience).

Did a huge tidy up. Having to accept I may just need a second KR case. Don't think I can quite get the lid closed on this.
Geneuinely can't remember how I ended up in this situation as it's pretty hard to buy the trays on their own.

Just kitbash a extension cap, that will complete the case as it is.

That model is wicked, though pretty busy. I think I'd like to see it painted more than I'd like to paint it.
Gonna paint some green space army men if I get a chance. May playtest my quick zombie rules if not paint. Worst case I'll fiddle with the loot tables and scenarios.
