Making an army list to help motivate me to paint my Guard

Steampunk Munchkin again. The club chairman brought his young nephew who's maybe 8 or 9 years old. He seemed to pick the game up very quickly within half an hour and by the end the devious little devil was forcing everyone else to join forces to stop him.

I won though, but only only just.

Building up my 1500 points of chaos... also kind of documenting it. Right now just taking some rough videos... later I'll splice and dice and whatever and make a series of videos to upload.

EDIT: Ugh... so videos aren't happening. I still need to figure out my setup. I watched some of the clips I have so far... they were either out of focus... at a bad angle... or just weren't recording properly (last couple clips look like bad stop motion scenes).

Meanwhile, my painting frenzy kicked in. Spent 4 hours in FLGS painting my drones and then few more late night hours doing a Dark Elf Chariot. Will be dry tomorrow.

It's been a couple of months since I started painting him but I finished off Two-Face tonight.

I got really lucky with how his face turned out.

So far what I have done:

Built Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor, Chaos Sorcerer in Terminator Armor, 10 Cultists, and 6 Chosen... right now working on 5 Warp Talons... my new favorite kit!

Still to come tonight:

5 Chaos Space Marine Bikers
20 Chaos Space Marines
5 Chaos Terminators
1 Daemon Prince (Maybe)

EDIT: Warp Talons built... moving on to Chaos Space Marines.... I was going to build the bikers but I don't need those dudes for the campaign tomorrow.

EDIT 2: and 20 marines built (2 plasma gunners, 2 PF champions, 16 bolt gunners).... calling it quits for now... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Giving up on Relics, glancing over Gates of Antares, and resisting due to the amount of unpainted stuff I have currently, planning a few more bits for my FoW...

Spent way too long trying to touch up some crusaders, and build some Command Squad Bikers for my Templars.

Zombies. Many zombies.

That is indeed a lot of zmobies.

Waiting for a campaign to start.

Worked some more on my Tidewall set.

Finished up the first artillery unit and Scouts for my Kingdoms of Men army. Worked on getting the handgunners of their base to paint them. It was stupid of me to glue them down first - now a bunch of them have screwed up shoes.

Hopefully will finish reposing my Tzeentch Chosen and get to painting the Slaanesh chosen.

Just these two gods left until I move onto Abaddon himself.

Painting Nurgle cultists

Kind of a side project. They will be used a Necromunda gang

Planning on de-moldlining some more SM legs and gluing them to bases. Then, perhaps work on a Tau buffmander and more on the Tidewall.

Stripping some second-hand Termagants and painting my Hormagaunt brood, maybe start the Warriors if I have time.

There's a 40k-fied version of COD zombies made here on Dakka. I managed to find a PDF, and I hope to give it a try soon.

Just putting the finishing touches on this daft Ork buggy conversion. I'm pretty sure this conversion has been done to death but, in my defence, I think I first started on this one about 13 years ago (!).

That's pretty cool!

As for what I'm doing today, I am continuing to work on my test battlesuit before I really begin on my Tau Commander. Maybe I'll even post a WIP in my personal blog if I get far enough. Of course, I have to go to work before too long and then I have church tonight, so I may not actually accomplish that much, but I'm gonna give it the old college try!

Loosing a game of 40K. Tau attacked a remote ForgeWorld, not knowing it is guarded by both Adeptus Mechanicus and Space Marines...

Adeptus Mechanicus got cleaned from the board, but SM charged into CC and pretty much tabled me...

Parcel of Primarchs from Kabuki arrived today! Lovely models, pics coming to the blog soon. I'll be playing Batman with the local group again tonight, but I hope to make a start on one of these bad boys as well!

Attempting to trick myself into thinking that I'll enjoy painting my SM Bikers.

Just applied some sand to my nurgle army's bases. Tomorrow I can hopefully get some priming done

I'm pushing for my 100th fully converted stock guardsman! Down in the right hand corner you can also see I've settled on using scion ad the base for my vets/household guard with puppets war high crusader helms to really flesh the knightly feel.

Putting together a 2nd squad of scouts for my Ultramarines. Thinking of giving them shotguns or bolters, throwing them in a Land Speeder Squad and using them as a drive-by squad

Finished my first ten Betrayal at Calth marines. One squad down, another one plus some support elements to go.
