Got some new paints, so I can finally get started on an Astartes from the Calth set. It's been close to a decade since I last painted a space marine at this point.

The camo looks nice I like the bases too, something about the nearly nonexistent lip... if I could just get some clear acrylics in the same footprint I'd be golden.
Whole lot of sitting around not painting today. Gotta finish some zombies soon but the dynamic duo keep alternating needs such that sitting down to type this even has me cringing waiting for a crying baby or toddler Beyond not painting, I've been scheming and dreaming regarding what to get finished by the 31st of next month to fluff out my models per year goal. Gonna fall far short but over half isn't bad considering the lifestyle changes we've had this year.

Putting together more Kroot Carnivores, and possibly a Land Speeder for my Dark Angels (so I can field the Ravenwing Support Squadron). I may also get started painting my Chaos Lord on a Juggernaut either tonight or tomorrow.
My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Just primed my Breacher team, my second Stealth team, some drones and the Hammerhead's railgun turret for my Tau. I did those along with the two crewmen and weapons for a Ravenwing Land Speeder. Nice to finally have a day with decent temperatures and little to no wind, and in December, no less!

All The Spaceships are mine.
All. The. Spaceships.
All of them.
Maybe this is what you should have done once you finished collecting those:

Been painting this guy up, from a Mad Max kickstarter project I backed, because I thought he'd be quick and simple to paint. I wanted to test out my Sepia Shade Vallejo dipping wash, but it didn't work out so well. I tried dipping it, but the effect was far too strong. It was like dunking it in pure paint. So I brushed it on heavily, and the guy is all glossy now.
The Black Shade worked much better on my all metallic Brotherhood of Steel Paladin, though I brushed that on too instead of dipping.
I'm afraid I can only find a concept art image, not the actual thing.
Spoiler:
He's the first of my Mad Max/Fallout Raider warband. I'm also worked on Vault Dwellers, Brotherhood of Steel Paladins, Scribes and Robobrains, and I've also done an NCR Veteran and an NCR Eyebot.
