Made some progress on some Orks and Grots. I honestly need to figure out how to get ink washes to stay in recesses where they belong, otherwise it'll just kind of muck up a whole model (in this case, a squig).

Okay, so that tournament I mentioned earlier today: my trend continues with 1 win and 2 losses once again. I beat the CSM player, but I got beat by an Ad Mech War Convocation and then by some Eldar. I didn't get totally owned by the Ad Mech guy, and I did manage to kill a Wraithknight against the Eldar player, so a good day for me anyway. I'd have done better against the Eldar if I hadn't needed to shoot my whole army at the Wraithknight and then assault it with my RW command squad to kill it. I fired two grav cannons at it, and only hit with TWO of the ten shots. That roll sucked and probably cost me the game.

So basically your W/L/D record is exactly the same as mine? I never win more than 1 game at the 3 game tournaments I attend. It's odd really

Well boy is my face red. Last I looked, PP only sold their procreate relabel/equivalent. Wish I'd known about this earlier, though after a quick google, most of the people who did know about it didn't have enough of a clue what it was, to spread much news... But from the PP forum:

the sculpting community has been in a minor panic (let's be honest, sculptors aren't lively enough to be involved in a major panic) since this past February, because the company that makes Brown Stuff, Kneadatite, announced that it will no longer be producing hobby quantities of brown stuff... The fact that PP is now offering brown putty tells me that:

1) PP shared the general sculpting community's concerns over the loss of such a critical tool
2) Unlike everyone else, they're taking steps to ensure the putty still flows, apparently by making their own order(s) from Kneadatite and reselling them through P3.

A bit unfair, that last bit. I'd say PP is one of the few wargaming companies or shops big enough to put in something like a ~6K unit order, with repackaging. Nevertheless, I've found UK stock, it isn't too outrageous in price, and I'm happy. Ta MH.

Did some Malifaux painting over the weekend. Also the Twisted kickstarter put me in the mood and I built the resin models I bought ages ago. Such nice minis.

Played a game 2v2 with WE led by Angron and AM against Alpha Legion 30k and Orks, 3500 pts per player. Fun game, maelstrom mission, draw.

Making up KoW army lists, for the fun of it. Possibly playing Pandemic with the family later today. That's hobby related, I think.

Doing a stock check and working out what i still need to base coat or paint and what i am missing for all my different army's and game systems. Also doing a bit of painting on my Jagdpanthers for Flames of war.

Assembled two Soul Trappers and base coated them in black. Need them for my Asphyxious 2 army.

Painted a some terrain today. One is finished and one is block painted but needs detailing

Procreate is pretty similar and if you can't find brown stuff is a good substitute. It's somewhere in-between green and brown stuff.

Primed and started putting color to 2 Death Jesters, and a box of Empire Handgunners.

36" of Kneadatite processed through the weekend into 52 bases... 168 more infantry bases to cast!

I'm putting together the second Tactical Squad from BaC for my 40k Ultramarines force.

Started painting my two Soul Trappers (Cryx).

Getting stumped by this Chameleon and ghost pearl pigments.

Cant get the effect to work properly for alpha legion.

Thinking i might just do the standard FW style of blue/green clears over silver. but instead doing one solid teal over silver then using the ghost blue and green on the tops and bottoms to get the shifting effect.

got mad because they make a perfect spray paint that does the effect but its a rubber coating instead of a regular spray :/

Trying to find the motivation to finish painting the Gnoblars on an old Metal Ogre Scraplauncher. Also preparing some models to paint for an upcoming D&D session.

My (slightly altered for length) copy of Lord & Lands is ready to pick up at Staples, so I'm going to grab that later and maybe even do a review of the rules.

And then continue to work on my KoW stuff. I'm not even sure if I'm going to continue playing the game, but I'm nearing/tipping past the halfway point for having everything painted, so I might as well continue.

I'm painting the first of my BaC Terminators. I love these models so much

I have found myself taken with This is Not a Test, so I decided to try my hand at making some power armored troops to represent the preservers (brotherhood for fallout fans). Don't get me wrong, I love fallout power armor, but I want to focus on converting if I make any TNT warbands.

I like the helmet/mask, the power plant on the back is more questionable, I'm not especially adept at sculpting so I'm trying to work with bits that I have but we'll see.

Started painting a bloodthirster and carnosaur. Built a Bastilodon. Been a hobby filled day!

Waiting for a pack of 15mm Republican Romans to come in from Forged In Battle. Pretty excited to see how they look!
