Started working on my Scimitars before I realized I had put paint on in the wrong order and using the wrong size brush.

Sigh, time to strip models again.

Sad that I missed out on Tabletop Game day, but alas I had to work instead of getting to play.

Since my FLGS is having kind of a snafu getting Imperial Knights: Renegade special ordered for me, I'm gonna let that wait a while. I ordered some stuff from GW and entered their dream army sweepstakes. I hope I win! If anyone's curious I'll have a bunch of Chaos Warhounds to be counts-as Flesh Hounds for my Daemonkin, and to push into the order amount to be eligible for the contest I also ordered Sammael's jetbike. I've been wanting that model for a while and now I'll have it!

As for today, I'm finally really finishing those Tau drones that I keep going on and on about in this thread, and I intend to start working on my Chaos Cultists.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

Demoed/helped 2 games of AoS today at the FLGS.
Also bought a 5 troop box of Kurganova models.

I broke one of the rifles (there are extras) while being no less gentle than I thought prudent. I will be trading/selling those away as soon as possible.

They're beautiful models but if they can't withstand me cleaning them up and building them, I'll have them destroyed in no time with transport, storage and actual game play. Pity :(

Went down to my FLGS since they decided to start opening up on the bank hoiidays. Most of the people I was expecting to come down didn't show up though. Ended up teaching someone to play Fleet Commander.

The goal for today is to start painting my Kameel Remotes for my Haqqislam. And begin stripping the paint from the rest of my Haqq... I just can't settle on a scheme I like for them. At least my slow painting means that I only have 4 Ghulam, a Janissaire, and a Naffatun to strip, and being all metal makes that so much smoother!

Working on my Knight Warden... To a point where I want/need to decide a few things...

Here's the body as it stands:

Spoiler:

I'm using Runelord Brass for a lot of sort of "highlight points" (like the exhaust) and decided that I want this knight to have a bit of a darker aspect to it... .

So, I'm deciding and then finishing up painting other stuff, the decision right now is the face mask:

Today I put in a request for a few additional items from the battle systems post apocalypse terrain kickstarter. Sigh, gotta lay off the minis/terrain. Hopefully I can make a willpower save and delete all of my shortcuts to places with deals of the day and regular not-insignificant discounts. Gotta stay away, at least for awhile.

If I get any time after work, I may look into putting together some buildings for my post apocalypse board (the really ruined city/landscape, not to be confused with the only somewhat ruined battle systems city I'll also have...or the scifi city I seem to keep wanting to build...).

I splurged and ordered some battlefoam for my AoS starter box forces and for my Deathwatch Overkill minis (don't use 'em in 40k so it's a board game to me).
Package arrived tonight so I've been putting minis away properly.

Now II'm less concerned that my winged stormcast will survive a weekly trip to the FLGS

Deadzone 2 rulebook and order dice just arrived, so now I have a playable version of the game (because v1 really wasn't - even Ronnie thought so).

Devil's Run is still at the top of my priority list though. I need to get a move on with the painting.

What game is this?

As for what I'm doing, I just got the stuff I ordered from GW in the mail today. Two boxes of Chaos Warhounds (to use as Flesh Hounds of Khorne in my Daemonkin army), a bunch of 50mm bases to put them on, and Sammael on Corvex. I'm about to put the Sammael model's parts in some soapy water to get the mold release stuff off of them. Not sure how much difference it will make, but I've seen it recommended so I'm going to start doing that with all my Finecast models.

I've just asked miniature market to release my held orders and I fear I will be inundated with Infinity minis soon... My poor Infinity shame drawer is fit to bursting as it is.. I really need to paint some of these guys!

I've otherwise mostly been deciding what to do with my 20th century redbrick battlezones. I'm leaning towards combining them with a few pieces of the scifi (and maybe the industrial stuff from the second kickstarter that should be arriving soon..ish) to make a large-ish factory/similar building to be the focal point of my modular post apocalypse board. I've got battle systems PA stuff coming and using the BZ stuff to effectively do the same thing seems kind of silly (except for making a full size 4x8' PA city board) so I'm stretching for ideas.

What game is this?

Devil's Run: Route 666 by Word Forge Games. That lot is the core game's Law Haulage firm faction (plus the KS exclusive not-mad-max interceptor, Bane). I've not started on the Haul's Angels stuff yet.

Made up some custom bases for myself and then made a mould so I can cast up more of them instead of doing more sculpting.

Did my first test pulls of it today. It worked well.

Are you in one of the tournaments or running a demo game there? I'll be mostly lurking. And trying to shift some more stuff on the bring & buy.

Playing in the Flames of War event, HMS Brian running the mid war section, will be easy to spot, I'll be the one either removing a very small and very sorry for itself German armoured list, or removing Soviet infantry with a shovel.

Made this lot as I'm a reserve for supplying terrain, can just about do one table but until yesterday had bits of brown and grey felt for roads which works but looks pants, knocked these out to sort that out, need to make more of them and some curved bits when I get the geometry sorted

I just played in a tournament at my FLGS. Sadly there were only 6 players, including the TO with his ringer army. I managed to finish 2nd, with a win in game 1 and ties in both of the other two games. Not a bad showing for the forces of the Greater Good!

I may also try to put together some of my Flesh Hounds and my Jebike Sammael model.
