Welcome back

Privateer--zero unfinished models at all? Or just zero unfinished that you plan to ever finish? Either way, Kudos

Today is mostly organizing/sorting/storage stuff for the house at large but hobbying stuff comes into that. Gotta get the one space streamlined so the stuff from the smaller space can go hang out there and I can get my workspace cleared off again.

A Protoss colony world

I need to get a move on with my Cultists! I've just been so busy lately with work and a 40k tourney so I've been too tired to paint. I'll probably get some more done today if possible.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

Experimented with a Karist mature angel and some quickshade. In conclusion, the sharpness of the details was drastically reduced, and the Angel now has a dark sickly green tint in various places. I think it went well.

Zero models left period.
I have 5 that are in trade pile that I refuse to mess with (Kurganova female soldiers in resin).
I started cleaning one and a bit popped off while I was being my gingerest.
Those things won't survive storage and transport with the rest of my stuff---but they're awesome looking models.

Today: Played the last 2 missions of B@C and also got half-way through a Fistful of Credits mission for the Firefly boardgame.

Also going to make a start on the cloaks of my system snipers, probably a muted digital urban camo

Put together a Slann Mage Priest this weekend, between yard maintenance and social obligations. Haven't touched Lizardmen in forever, it was a refreshing change of pace.

Still plugging away at the wife's Dark Elves, slowly widdling away at the masses ranks of fiddly models.

Also took a break from the emo kids to try out some Stormcast construction, had a lot of fun with them. Painting them is going to be even more fun I think.

Starting my big 15mm project of a Dark Elf force, and then a Orcs and Gobbos force (50+ figures altogether). Painted 6 Dark Elves with Greatswords (which equates to a pair of Troops), and my two individual heroes. About 20 more minis to go before it's on to Orcs.

I'm finding some bliss in small, basically detailed models, versus the current overly-detailed GW stuff.

I finally managed to finish up the rest of the bases.

I now have 337 20mm square bases ready to get additional skulls and scenery glued onto them. A grand total of 24 feet of GS was used for this.

Another car and the HA trike done. Should have enough of these to get a few games going now. Need to finish converting my KoW ogre siegebreaker regiments into hordes and paint some more imperial assault stuff before building the next batch for Devil's Run. I bought entirely too many cars.

I really need to get some of my Bones Lizardmen based and ready to paint. I've been meaning to finish them for a D&D adventure with my group but I keep delaying it or find excuses to not do it.

Tonight is the night though, going to get those bad boys on the paint table.

Began shaving off the plastic slots from the feet of the IOB Seaguard and Swordmasters' I have here so I can then begin gluing them onto the new bases.

Still undecided if I should pin them to the bases or if for these two specific units just gluing them will suffice.

Working on painting some barbarian tribals for TNT. They're 95% bones so not taking my time. I like the figures but the material is not conducive to me doing a great job.

At a Place, Making Dolls Great Again

Got a bunch of old, obscure miniatures (some I did identify as being "off the wall armies" and somehow I'll make a 9th age army with them (or more easier if I do something else, eg Songs of Blades and Heroes, though I plan to play that at 15mm)
I also got some orcs for that, old metal things. Lots of character.
And Grenadier, they put their stamp on the bottom of their bases, makes life easier to identify their stuff.

Another weekend of work in the garden and lawn mowing with a fever, and the only prescription, is more Lizardmen. No, I'm not saying Seraphon, yet. I put together Tehenhauin ranked amid 4 bases of Jungle Swarms. I've used some of the old Lizardmen glyphs and shaped some chunks of resin that I kept from FW models, just for this type of purpose, and created some damaged Lizardmen Temple masonry for the swarms to crawl over. Looks pretty cool just primed so far.

Played and we failed a mission of Firefly: Fistful of Credits, a game that has been compared, fairly accurately, with Firefly-themed Candyland. I play it for the company at the FLGS, not because the game is very good. Also played a couple of card games and a board game about camel racing when the son-in-law came over for dinner.

At a Place, Making Dolls Great Again

Finally begun playtesting my game, though the rules I am trying to solidify the background and title I aim to be eye catching and mad (made originally as a joke to a serious novel I wrote).
Basically the background is a young, unconfident teenager goes into some alternate dimension, ala Heavy Metal, turns into a tall, large chested blond woman, again, ala Heavy Metal and fights demons and stuff.
I call it; Pearl Mavis and the Super Sexy Vampire Sluts from Hell.
No one could resist a title that good/bad.
