Seems to be a recurring theme - Firefly the standard game is apparently "Merchant of Venice... In Space."

I've been powering through my Deadzone Infestation kickstarter. I... may have too many models. I've assembled enough I'd ever need for a deadzone game and still have many, many sprues left over. Albeit, they were bought for Warpath. But, worse than that, I'm starting to run out of model storage.

Yeah the DZ kickstarters both definitely gave you too many minis/faction for normal sized games. Of course, I find that hardly something to complain about most of the time.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with my 50 steel warriors. I don't really like painting armies as much as small factions these days. I'll sort it out though.

Today I am deciding which Infinity model(s) to snag from Amazon since I've got some store credit. It's a tricky dance between getting a good price and getting things I actively want.

I feel your pain. I still have 2 factions from the Deadzone 1 KS which haven't been painted yet. Some more DZ stuff is next in my paint queue after I finish my Imperial Assault imperials (although at least I have enough stuff done from DZ1 to be able to play DZ2 already).

Most recently I've been finishing odd bits for my KoW ogres to try to boost them to 2000 points in time for a game next week. It takes everything I have plus an excess of magic items to get there. And the war hippo.

I did *two* hobby things today! That's Gambit basecoated and all ready looks able to join my X-Men before I even do any washing or layering.

Cool stuff! Definitely need to add Gambit to my own X-men at some point soon.

Today I need to knock out 3 Crimson Fist Tactical Marines in short order for a game tomorrow... should be doable, so long as I don't get distracted.

Traded off my X-Wing stuff to get WHQ: Silver Tower, which arrived in yesterday's mail. I have gone from zero models to build and paint back to 51 (I think that's the count).

Nice Imperial Assault

I'm gluing a mantic orc boar rider together so I can prime and hopefully paint him this weekend. He's gonna ride on my bones dragon turtle thing to count as a krudger on slasher. Wanted to do something more substantial in terms of orc army unit this month but I've been busy.

I've still got my post apocalyptic barbarians on the painting table and if I get half a chance I plan to add some paint to those. They're really pretty close to done.

There is not this idea.

Going to play a 750 point game of KoW, after not having time to play in about two months. Elves against Ogres, should be a fun time.

I just played a 2000 point 40k game. Maelstrom of War, my Dark Angels vs. my friend's Ultramarines. Let's just say it wasn't a good day to be a Son of the Lion...

I also picked up 2 boxes of Chaos bikes for my Khorne Daemonkin army while I was at the FLGS.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

Gonna play Silver Tower at a friend's place after his BBQ once the crowd has thinned out. He's hosting, so dragging him and his son off to play ST might be considered "rude" by some!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Played the "100th store special mission" in 40k yesterday... was fairly fun, though extremely one-sided..

Today, I'm working on a Sydonian Dragoon that will probably be my last model purchase until the school year starts again.

Then, it's just catching up on painting/repainting everything.

About half-way through building Warhammer Quest ST models.
I have the horrors, grots, familiars and cultists left to build.
I love the look of the Tzaangors but a couple of them were painful to put together just right.
Also not a fan of the Ogre Magi's horns and probably have them on switched.

Today I finally primed my Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage. Yes, it's finally time for me to paint that monster. He will be my entry in June's monthly painting challenge. I'll need to apply everything I learned while painting my Soul Grinder last August, as I would not want to do a bad job on a $100+ model like the 'thirster. I'm confident I can handle it since I did okay on the Soul Grinder.

I also primed some Tau Pathfinders, since I don't waste time and primer on just one model (even a big one).

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

Had a lovely RPG adventure where we were supposed to defend a stone airship. What was originally a basic escort mission added a bit of extra background lore to the campaign, an unexpected romance subplot, a good idea for character closure, and a few good moments, like jumping from an airship to the back of an attacking dragon to hack the beast apart with hatchets.

Painted a Daemon Prince. Was really proud of it, and was taking it out to varnish (you know, to protect the paint job) when I ... dropped it. I guess the basing material hadn't set and broke off under the weight.

Lesson learned: never varnish.

Making a tentative start on a whim towards making a modular cave system for Frostgrave. Their next expansion is for dungeons, and whilst my club already has a sub-bar set, it'd be interesting to make a cave system (with possible tomb/ basement addons) myself.

I'll get back to y'all in a year once I've finished like two tiles.
