Today I am working in The Games Den (like I do most days!), and then going home to run a D&D game for my partner and our friend, and then if I am still awake, I will try and finish repainting my Eldar Falcon grav-tank that I've had since I was about 13.

Gonna pop by the local library today for its monthly game day. Probably end up playing/refereeing some x-wing or a remote chance of dnd or some random boardgame.
Also continuing work on punching out and assembling my bags systems stuff.

Did an intro game of Star Wars Armada today. My newbie Rebel player learned a very important lesson of frigate against Star Destroyer in a head-on collision doesn't end well for the frigate.

Boooom!
I took a mishmashed Scum list of whatever I could find in my hastily assembled box o' ships in a 100pt 3 way battle today at the library thing. Something like a properly kitted Kavil, Sarisu with a laser cannon (I know, but I wanted to try it lol) and a mini swarm of Zs against 3 rebel ships and a gaggle of Tie-whatevers. Managed a fairly solid victory, thanks largely to Kavil for one-shotting both of the tie interceptors out of his arc (like a boss) and properly prioritizing shots against the most damaged ships. The Z's were basically pathetic but they ate up shots, I won't complain.
Gonna try to paint something up before the end of the month...

Today i have magnetised a leman Russ demolisher so I can use it as any of the three variants from that kit with any combination of hull/sponson weapons. I think I worked out that there are 36 possible combinations so I've saved myself a few dabloons there
I am now painting up some guardsmen. They're long overdue and I aim to finish at least two of them today. If I don't get fed up I'll do more, if I do get fed up I might paint some terrain.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Is it the one with the picture of the Cadian troopers in the trench system on the front cover, or the later one with the Doctrines?
Yesterday I finished that Iyanden Falcon that had been annoying me for a few days. Today I have begun to paint up the Guardian Defenders I have, and have popped back into The Games Den. I am hoping to finish the Guardians today and also update my Army of the Imperium plog.
