This afternoon I'm gonna continue shopping around for proper paints. Hoping to buy some locally and reacquaint myself with the local scene. My only remaining paints are a citadel foundation set from way back when Assault on Black Reach was released, last used at the end of fifth edition...

Thank you! This one has been fun to paint, even if I am "painting by numbers" by following the Warhammer TV "How To" video.

I am learning to...accept GW paints. I still hate that they aren't in dropper bottles. I waste half of what I dip out and I am not convinced they will last as long. They do cover very well and dilute with water easily.

My Reaper Master Series Paint Set from 2009 is still mostly good. A few of the browns and reds have dried out. Reaper covers just as well and is cheaper, too. However, there isn't a good conversion chart anywhere. The latest one i can find was updated in 2012, and GW has completely turned over their paint names since then.

Considering the deneb stone is solid enough to be confused or an actual stone, and the tallarn flesh is separated in to a pale color on two sides and a dark inky strip down the middle, I'm not sure it can be saved.

Here's the trick. stop doing that.
Dilute your paints in the pots to your standard consistency, use them from the flip-top after having shaken the bottle.

And if you really can't get used to that, just use a dropper.

Or, just transfer them to dropper bottles.

Nah, I knock them over. I've lost at least 2 pots of nuln oil and a handful of others. See those wings? I knock over everything when I'm rotating to paint it. Even my Bourbon! Oh noes!

Is that for Space Hulk and/or Zone Mortalis and/or D&D games? Very nice. Did you sculpt that?

Spent the past two days getting two squads of these guys done up:
Used a base of leadbelcher, then nuln oil wash, drybrush that new stormcast silver paint thing they added to the line, then used Tamaya clearcoat red and yellow for the armor. Really fast and easy. Took about two hours total per squad.

Painted four cowboys last night - probably flat/base them today and perhaps start on the last three primed indians I have sitting on the desk. Trying to clean up the clutter (i.e. paint the random figures I have primed on my desk).

Got a game in last night. Today I'll be doing edge highlighting on a Falcon and putting some base layers down on my Farseers and Avatar.

You really mean painted?
I wouldn't show primed models. Just the final result.
