Expanding my 15mm World War 2 Eastern Front forces with some 1:100 Zvezda kits.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

They're small kits with each one being about the size of a hotwheels car and most are less than 15 parts each, so it's kind of like assembling one or two larger kits.

I love terrain made from stuff like that.

Still working on the Wraithguard and Falcon - but nearing the end. Did shades last night, so all I've got left is highlighting and detail work. Should be able to have them done for my league game a week from today.

So I am going to likely finish the last 5 AoBR Orks, then the last 2 Grots and Minder are on deck.

Ended up assisting a gaming buddy recover 12 Firewarriors and convert 6 tank crew models into Pathfinders. Not only did his army gain two units, but he is now excited about 40K again and getting his paint out to get these two units operational.

Giving a Konflikt 47 Spinne a Nebelwerfer. I really dislike the original model (its so chunky looking), so've been trying to find ways of remedying that. Original I was going to just give it a Luch's turret, but had none spare. God all those rocket tubes did my head in gluing them together though. :/

Yesterday, we played 3v3. Each with 3000 pts. Played my Necron. We started at 10 am and at 6 pm the game was still tight. I had to leave then. Each army with one superheavy with 6 HP allowed. The game was very smooth. All veterans up to one player. Will see some repeat next time.
