Would be good to hear Prodos response to this.
In other news while looking around for Drop Ship/APC models I can across this. It's 1:32 and it's a custom build but it's so awesome I had to share.
http://alienscollection.com/dropshipclub.html
I'd recommend the old Halcyon kit of the Drop Ship at 1:72 scale - it's on the small side for the figures, but it's still fantastic. You can still find it on ebay at around £75.
Aoshima licensed the kit and made a diecast version of it in two versions iirc and the in scale APC was included with one. Worth a look if you are interested in collecting. Not sure what the Aoshima thing goes for, but I think you ve to pay aound £200 for that by now.

1:32 is way too big though sadly, you'd need 1:48 or 1:56 for this game. Automatically Appended Next Post: Nice cockpit lighting though!

This way, folks like that could pledge big and be eligible for the stretch goals, without incentivizing folks making double accounts to get more stretch goals (i.e. because the level is high enough to discourage that).
I think it'd open this up to more folks, like the poster above who said they don't need another game... but they sure as heck need ALIENS models
Feel free to post in the comments if you think it's a good idea, etc! Prodos said to "watch this space" in response, so I think they're considering it

NICE!
Awesome! I need to watch the whole thing when I get home, but could anyone summarize what other information they gave? Particularly any revelations about model size / details like that.
Well I guess it worked - look at the response from Prodos

You're amazing Basement, thanks! And so is Prodos, this is the second time they've listened to one of my suggestions (not sure what the outcome will be here but hopefully it's a success ). And I've only made 2! Haha
I love a creator who listens. And I love aliens. If they add a "collector / miniatures only" pledge level like it seems like they're considering, that will be all my monies. All of them.

Great to see some more movement, for me the free model has to be PredAlien - Hellhounds i'm not too fussed with and the sentry guns I can scratchbuild... The add-ons really are coming along nicely. Just need another 1,000 backers...
As cool as the Alien Queen would be, surely she'd take up too much space on the board - given the narrow corridors and small rooms in the contents pictures.
Edit - I see the large rooms are listed as 8"x8" - what size was the queens base in relation to this? Automatically Appended Next Post: CptJake wrote:As cool as a drop ship would be, I know I could not afford a resin version so would not be likely to take advantage of it being made available.
I would imagine that the APC and Dropship will make a show, but not until the AVP KS mk2 - AvP the Wargame

I don't know. The Warzone KS didn't do as well as this one is doing (crikey 1000 backers already?) and it has two Land Raider+ sized tanks, a figher and a few fairly large monsters/walkers in its ranks before the end. A drop ship may not be out of the question a couple weeks from now.
Still sad I don't have cash for this. It is quickly become a pretty nice looking set for £75.

Yup, 2 10GBP freebies (although there's a list of what's available for each freebie), 5-9 Facehuggers, a Berserker Predator and if we get to 2000 backers (halfway there now) then we'll get another 10GBP to spend however we wish.

I'd agree that as it stands these are the most underwhelming part of the box set, I'm thinking that I'll be more likely to use my Space Hulk tiles or, if I free up some more cash, I may well be backing the Battle Systems™ Sci-fi Modular Terrain KS which looks rather wonderful... Should be able to do the £155k easily today and get some way towards the £165k stretch as well today - average daily pledge for the last three days looks to be around £12k

Sweet! I've totally upgraded
A few people posted that they didn't think it was that good of a value, but compared to getting no stretches if you just want add-ons, it's a great one.
For instance, now I will have extra:
-One free add-on (5 Alien Warriors)
-One free Berserker Predator
-One free PredAlien
-One more free PredAlien if we hit 2000 backers (I love the PredAlien!)
I like this deal so much that I've now messaged my local friend, who I am also pledging with on the Games & Gears battle boards KS (we're each getting separate boards but splitting a pack of the trays) to pledge at that level for me, too, so I can easily double up without worrying about the survey. So Prodos is getting another 55 pounds out of me by adding this pledge level... well done!

@RiTides:
Basically I was just saying that the base box contents in figures was worth £90 and cost £75 (before stretchgoals)
and that the pick and choose level gave you £105 for £100.
Obviously it's better than nothing, but what I want (to start with) is so close to the base box it will cost me more to buy it through the new pledge rather than just adding it to the base box.
If you look at it that way it doesn't really make much sense at least for me... I mean from their standpoint - they send me a whole bunch of other contents for gaming that surely costs them a fair bit and that I have no real use for. If it's a case of a numbers game in terms of "sold #games" it makes complete sense and I get that. I would have been happy if the new pledge contained an extra £10 addon or two to counter the difference.

Don't forget how time-intensive and error-prone (two huge cost-risk factors!) order-pocking in volume can be on a one-time basis for companies who do not have a structure for such activities in place (and at least that last bit includes CMoN, lol ).
I agree the value isn't fantastic and I certainly will be going for (at least) one base game box instead, but I think they are trying to provide some level of service at least, without giving themselves a huge headache they obviously (and reasonably so) have little desire for.
I agree they are incentivizing game box pledges over and above the risk/cost factors mentioned but that's not only their bare prerogative, it's also quite understandablr as a way to get people to play an actual game (which they might buy more models for!) rather than just making a one-time purchase.
And let's be honest: with the way they're adding freebies the value, for decently cast (if not Mierce/McVey quality) resin is becoming rather good already, so this is more of a somewhat headache-inducing option for the odd man out among pledgers.
That they service those as well with a 'good enough' level shows a rather sensible commitment to customer service without hat being at the expense of good business sense, IMO.

Agreed, but basement the other advantage of this level is that it's low enough that, if you're like me, it's tempting to get it twice (although I'll be having a friend pledge, like I said, so there's no doubt about getting the stretch goals).
If I go that route, tentatively I'm going to pencil myself in for:
10 facehuggers
10 Alien Warriors
4 PredAliens (free)
2 Berseker Predators (planning to trade for 2 more PredAliens!)
3 Praetorians
...3 Queens!? And eggs?
I.e., all ALIENS as these will be getting mixed into my Trollforged counts-as tyranids army.
