It makes it even more frustrating when Prodos are doing these massive sales when people still haven't received their back pledges.

It's like they're saying "thanks for supporting this project and making it a reality. We're still not going to send your stuff. Oh BTW if you'd waited 3 years you could have gotten it cheaper and faster"

Very frustrating...

To me it says 'Sales are much slower than expected. Better sell product off at a reduced rate to cover loses and generate cash flow, while simultaneously clearing valuable warehouse space for new projects.' Maybe it's just me being cynical, but at this point cynicism is all I've got to show for backing this project.

If Prodos may not be renewing the the AvP licence, I'm also wondering if there is some clause in the contract that says they can not retain, or at least sell, any of the AvP stock after the licence has expired. So getting rid of it at reduced rate is better than having unsellable stock taking up storage space.

If they are not renewing the licence then there is the real possibility that backers may not ever get their pledges fulfilled.

Bah. I'll bet backers received what they are waiting before 2018.

"Backers" will get nothing, and like it.

Then the added insult to injury about removing the project from Kickstarter, so you have no alternative, yeah, !@#$ you Prodos. Thanks for nothing.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Nah, it's not like the company in the UK that technically is responsible for fulfillment was gutted of almost all assets that could be sold in the unlikely case of a lawsuit against them by creditors. If I were you, it would only be worrisome if those assets were then transferred to another company operated by almost all the same folks in another country leaving the first able to shut down once the license ends (with a fire sale at rock bottom prices of existing stock) while backers are still waiting to have portions or, for some, all of their pledges fulfilled. All that hypothetical stuff is unlikely though unless the owners/operators of the company start ragging on both their licensor as well as customers.

They renewed the license, despite negative comments by Prodos regarding the company holding the license.

I finally recieved a reply to the enquiring I sent. Posted to the wrong country, but apparently it was delivered to wherever they sent it, so I can have a nice day!

I doubt it. I was resigned to getting nothing, but now I'm just fething furious. The incompetence is staggering. After asking me to resupply them with my address, despite the endless fething reopening and rechecking of the pledge manager, they manage to send it to the wrong fething country!
And have the gall to tell me to have a nice day!

feth you Prodos!

Are they really washing their hands of you after *THEY* sent it to the wrong country? Did their database or employee just plug in the address from another backer with your name and they got your pledge or did they actually send it to the same name/same address/same city in a different country?

"Hi there, thanks for your message, ok so 1st off all we need to establish to whom you have gave your new updated address, as it was not changed by you in Pledge Manager" (Ed. It was. Several times. As well as multiple emails to notify them of the changed address.)

"secondly, we are not providing refunds, simple fact is that we lost a lot of money on that Kickstarter thus, really, to product we needed to manufacture for you pledge we needed to add money instead of making profit of it
and thirdly, we have lost another 50 USD on shipping your parcel to you and another 50USD as it was not collected (for return trip)".

"So currently I am not sure how we can process this now."

"Thanks."

So basically, they stuffed up and sent it to the wrong address, fed me a sob story about how they lost money on the kickstarter, and finished the email with a non committal "I'm not sure how we can process this"

In other words, I've paid them and they're refusing to send my goods to me. Sounds like a pretty solid basis for a successful business.

Seems that way. The problem is no doubt compounded by the fact that it costs so much and takes so long to get anything shipped out here.

Oh man, and the hits keep coming! Whats to stop them from saying that to all the other outstanding backers out there? Uh, we shipped it to you and it was returned, so obviously you don't want it... proof perhaps? I get that a certain percentage of people (in general) will try a scam, but Prodos trying to say people are scamming them? Thats rediculous!

Tell me about it, they sent it to me under the "Hudson D." name, so the postal services refused to deliver it, and I'm trying (emphasis on "trying") to get a word from Prodos saying I'm the person they're supposed to send it to.
Thankfully, the postal services are (somewhat) understanding, and keeping the box without sending it back.

Man, this just keeps getting better !

Folks buying from the web store typically get their stuff.

And yet they could afford to offer 40% off to new customers, making some items cheaper than what I paid for them.

That's new money that they don't have that can be taken back. Old nonrefundable money is, in their eyes, apparently worth less... or worthless... not sure which one is more accurate. :(

As stated above, new money is treated differently by them because you can file a complaint with your credit card company or paypal and get it back. The people complaining here are the folks that believed in Prodos enough to crowdfund them years ago and are some art still waiting for the very same products you just recently ordered because Prodos apparently long ago put backers of their project last on the list of priorities since the backers have no way of forceably getting their money back.
