Holy smokes is that a great use for the dog! And you still have the wolfy head for use on other mechs or spaceships.

And I bought a bunch of those bits to use, too.
Here is a dollar store tank upgraded with dollar store junk and Final Faction bits. The most expensive part is the stowage.

That's looking great! I quick painted a couple of those a while back for proxying in K47....

Depending on how much you want them to look exactly like Necron destroyers, these Final Faction bits could work for the chassis. The hoverboard would look pretty close if some of the tabs and winglets are snipped and it flies backwards. You’d need to use something for the torso and weapon, perhaps (Lego?) skeletons or Antares Ghar suit bits or something.

For terrain, Wyloch had a few great videos for making cheap “close enough” terrain for Necrons.

Yes, I got them at Dollar Tree. I think both of those flying bits come in the same package with some guns or other bits, for $1.25 now.

So, I went to 99c Only today to see what I could find.

The hoverboard is $5, but I think it will work for a spaceship or DZC dropship with minimal work. The party favors could make the basis for another spaceship, or just a source for wings for decoration. The bubble machine is $2. I got two so I could convert one into a space defense laser and one into a spaceship.

I also just thought of a way that might work to make cheap Necron Terrain from dollar store Tupperware, clothes pins and zip ties, although it would be a bit labor intensive…

The latest Dollar Tree "Final Faction" action figure wave has a robot called P-131. Could be a great Mech for Wargaming in a variety of scales. Pictured here between a 3" Robotech toy and 1/160 CAV Dictator.

How modular is it? Those legs and torso are begging to become part of an SDF (2?) conversion. The boat-arm-cannons would need to be sourced from another set.

Arms and legs all move separately, but each leg is one piece. Head is also a separate piece but only has minimal movement

I made another trip to Dollar Tree, and found some more Final Faction mini worth getting, as well as some terrain.

The big guns pull right off of the HK quadruped bot as well as the bugs, so they are easy to convert. The legs are moveable to some degree, and I would glue them into place before trying to paint these guys. Also, some of the plastic used can feel sticky after priming, like Bones 1 minis.

The houses come in two styles, but the furniture is the same for each. If you get two of the same style, they fit back-to-back to make a solid building. As you can see, the two different styles don’t fit with each other. So, each half house is $1.25, each whole house is $2.50, and a whole block costs the same as one or two MDF houses.

I'm quite jealous. I've been trying to find the new Wave of Final Faction figures (from which your crawlers and drone turret come from) for a couple weeks now. You folks on the coast seem to get them first.

Those houses with furniture are a great find. I think I've seen them but looked right past them. Might have to give them a try.

I don’t have any of the Marvel Minis at hand, but the houses seem just a smidge on the big side for 28mm to me. If the Marvel minis are 35mm, the houses might work as old timey Victorian houses for old timey (short) people…?

Unfortunately, I’m not able to check it at the moment, but from my memory it has no floors or stairs but the insides of the walls have a little detail.

Just picked up the house. No interior detail other than the negative imprint of the exterior detail. Still, surprisingly good potential for gaming for the house and furniture. I'll have a post about it up soon.

Here's the house and furniture, halfway through a repaint. Really easy and quick to paint since all the windows and doors are separate. Figs for scale are 30mm heroic and 29mm true'ish. I think it'd be fine for anything from 28-35mm. I left one unassembled for the picture to suggest it might be good as the basis for a ruined building too.

A few more Final Faction discoveries, and another terrain idea. The Kharn vehicle looks pretty silly as is, but could make a great basis for a chaos Cannon conversion or something. I plan to use the wheels as alien space stations or ships for Dropfleet or something, and to paint the huge chassis as an alien skull for terrain. There is an upgrade kit with two huge talon arms and a scorpion tail that works as a monster all its own. I might get a couple more upgrade bits to convert the chassis into a Scourge Walker of some kind—it’s really big!

The smaller crawlers are pretty great for aliens as is. Their legs come off, which makes them look quite a lot like Invid hulls, so I might do something like that with them.

Finally, garden fairy houses are roughly 28mm scale and $1.25 each; perfect to mix with the plastic houses if you want terrain for The Battle of Carmel-By-The-Sea.
