So what games are you most anticipating this year? Here's my brief list: - New Star Wars RTS (PC) - Star Trek: Legacy (PC/360) Fleet battle game across entire Star Trek timeline - Oblivion (PC/360) RPG - Halo 3 (360) - Blazing Angles: Squadrons of WWII (360) Flight combat game from UBISoft. - Gears of War (360) "Cliffy B's" latest masterpiece Now I must admit I only play PC, x-box, and 360 stuff, so what are folks looking foward to on Nintendo and PS3? What titles on 360 and the PC did I leave out?

Black (EA) on PS2 Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) out in Europe last Friday Ico reissue (PS2) I am also anticipating a DS Lite when they are released in Europe and will be playing a lot of Advance Wars DS on it.
It's in doubt whether the PS3 will be out in Europe until 2007 so it's too far away to speculate about what games to buy.

I played the 'Black' demo on Xbox, and while it has some interesting elements overall I don't think its revolutionary enough to stand out from the waves and waves of FPSs. It certainly is better than most, and it does have a bit of flair. . .but the demo just left me feeling a bit bland.
Anyone know if its coming out on the 360?
As for the topic of this thread: in the short term I'm looking forward to Burnout Revenge on the 360, as I love the game right now and I want to see it in glorious 720p.
Long term: Halo 3, of course! And a sequel to Shadow of the Colossus on the PS3; man it's gonna be awesome.
I'm also looking forward to seeing/hearing people be disappointed when they actually see Killzone gameplay and realize it doesn't hold a candle to the pre-rendered crap they saw at E3. . .but that's just me being a cynic.

Savage 2 ( PC) - though I don't necessarily like where the classes are going (too classic fantasy, less of the good ol' pulpy savages w/ guns), Savage is the only game that I've continually played in the last years. And yeah, I'm one of ~100 people still playing Savage! - Boss Salvage

Okay. I have two more to add to the mix.
The first I can't believe I forgot: Kingdom Hearts 2 I really enjoyed the first one and have been waiting for this one for quite a while.
The other: Dead Rising This one is for the XBox 360. Stuck in a mall with thousands (no exaggeration there) of zombies and being able to use over 250 diffrent items to take the zombies down. I saw footage of swords, battle axes, chainsaws, garden tools, bats, 2x4s and the best one, golf clubs and golf balls. Shows the main character line up the shot on a zombie on a walk way, he swings, he watches and you can see the zombie fall to the floor. Now that is cool. Now all I need to do is get a X360. ;~p

How could I forget about Kingdom Hearts 2?! KH1 was an excellent game, the game was so good that even my girlfriend absolutely loved it and played it, she even finished the game before I did. Even now she's busy playing through it for the third time! While I would really like to get my hands on the sequal my GF is absolutely chomping at the bit! She's willing to pay the full release price (normally she's in favour of waiting to let the price drop) and I'm sure she's willing to fight, maim and kill to get her hands on KH2. :S

LOL
I find that funny because my 11 year old is the same way about KH2. She needs something else to play. She loves the opening movie and the song, so she will start a new game over and over. Thank God I moved the PS2 into my room. I have "some" control over it. ;~)

@ brotherskeeper74:
How do you find the game difficulty of KH1 compared to your 11 year old?
When I first saw the license, the inclusion of the Disney characters had me fooled into believing this would be an easy game designated for little kiddies, while it's absolutely not so. I'd say a fair number of people would struggle even getting of the island with a boss like that!

It has been my experience that kids beyond a very young age (say about 5 years old) are actually better at video games than most adults. . .including those who have "grown up" playing them. Hell, I'd be absolutely shocked if the 11 year old doesn't have an easier time with the game than you, although I don't know how old you are BAWTRM.

Too True!! Rose, my 3 year old, can surf the Disney.com web site faster than I can, and knows all the tricks. She finds secret promo pages that I didn't even know existed.

My daughter has a hard time with it. I'm the kinda person who believes that people need to do it themself. After watching her do some of the early bosses, I helped her along. Then she got to Ursala (sp?) in the Little Mermaid world. I had the HARDEST time with her, but Andrea (my daughter) beat her ALOT faster than I did.
Never the same. ;~)

That first Ursula battle can be an absolute nightmare, especially in the amount of time it can take to finish her. Oh and Yakface, I'm 29 now and have been true a whole evolution of gaming systems (just like most of you I guess). From my pong lookalike games machine the Audio-Sonic to an Atari (1200?? can't really remember), NES, SNES, SEGA, N64, PS1, PS2. Still, many youngster can do amazing stuff on the game consoles, though I can still beat 5 year olds at any game at this time.

It's scheduled for both the x-box and 360, however I don't think it will look like the picture below on the X-box. All early previews point to a great game, both on live and off. The live based "Kamakazi" mission sounds like great fun.

Russ, have you played the new Ghost Recon yet? I'm supposed to get my 360 next week, and it seems Advanced Warfighter is "the" killer app right now, 'till Oblivion and Gears of War.

If you can only buy one game, and your not getting your 360 'til next week anyway, get Oblivion. It ships on Monday and should be in a store near you on Tuesday. THAT is the killer app on 360.
I have not played GRAW yet, but it looks AWESOME. I'm still enjoying full auto at the moment.

Adding more to the list:
Gears of War (looking at it makes me want to buy a X360) God of War 2 (broke down and picked up GoW for $20, boy it is a well put together game) Prey (PC game, just check out the new trailer for it and be amazed) Dispite the "Angle-of-Darkness" crapfest, Tomb Raider: Legends
That is all that I can think of for now.
