Hello,

Was hoping you guys could help me improve my xbox video game library while I save up to buy an xbox 360.  I was hoping you could point out some games I would like, I own Halo, Halo 2, Kingdom Under Fire (both of them) Doom, Morrowind (both the original and expanded) and Robotech Battle Cry.  I like FPS, RPG, RTS, and turn based games, don't care much for fighting games or sport games.  Any help would be great including websites to look up games.  Thanks

KOTOR and Crimson Skies are both outstandingly good XBOX games.

Do you like racing games? How about adventure/platormers?

I highly recommend any of the Burnout games as the most fun racing games on the planet. Psychonauts is an absolutely amazing adventure/platformer that sold like crap but got fantastic reviews.

I agree that Crimson Skies and KOTOR are both awesome (and cheap at this point). Definitely check 'em out.

If you like strategy, try Full Spectrum Warrior (or its sequel) for a unique twist. It is basically a RTS that involves only two squads of (4 each) men.

Brothers in Arms (and its sequel) is a top notch squad based WWII shooter I enjoyed greatly.

If you liked the parts in Halo1 where you led your marines around the maps, you might enjoy Stubbs the zombie. It was made by some of the same people and uses the Halo1 engine. I thought it was good fun, if not a bit short.

You can never go wrong with GTA, as long as you're into that type of game.

Gun is also quite good if you like cowboy stuff.  Jade Empire is exceptional.  Sid Mier's Pirates was also a lot of fun.

Was wondering if you guys also played Dreamfall, Far Cry, and Goblin Commander. Were these any good?

I've not tried any of the above, but here's what I've heard from friends how had them:

Dreamfall....quite good if you like old school style adventure games
Far Cry...Good FPS
Goblin Commander...total junk

Ninja Gaiden Black was a great ninja action game, but was incrediblyu difficult. Well worth the challenge.

Mechassault 2 was also great fun, if giant robots are your thing. Fable:The Lost Chapters you can get for 15 dollars and is the entire original fable plus expansion. A real deal. If you can find it, Panzer Dragoon Orta is also a great rail shooter. If you liked Starfox 64 there is no reason you would not love it. Full of unlockables too.

Hm.... Metal Arms:Glitch in the System was surprisingly good, actually.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! i bought several games off ebay for cheap and enjoyed them. if there are more suggestions keep them coming,....oh and i don't like racing games either (not enough shooting or violence). Are there any more Star Wars games i should get or avoid (Star Wars the Clone Wars really sucked!) I heard Battlefront was pretty good and one more....something to do with a character being dumb founded when they find a light saber (perhaps that is the same game). Let me know, thanks!

Lego Star Wars is suprisingly good. And you can play co-op.

Kingdom Under Fire, super addictive, and hard at times, but super cool all the same. Fable, Jade Empire, and Star Wars: Republic Commando are also sick games to have.

The spirit song still surrounds me, in refrain, in shadows growing wings. Like an angel with two broken wings, reach the sky again. Like a devil, meant for better things, I will find my place on high.
