That's a nice way to do steps, but it must be difficult to line everything up right.

Love the old Harlies, painted a few off them up back in the early 90s when they were still quite new and managed to collect every one of them, but then quit the hobby and sold them all. Almost tempted to try and re-buy them after seeing this

Thank you Warboss_Waaazag, muette, gobert,Tommygun1918, and Nilfisken.

Progress.

Now Warboss_Waaazag, I am trying out that glue method. So far it seems to help smooth wood ends. Next I will try putting paint over it.

gobert, they are some cheap Christmas holders.

Tommygun1918, I just eyeballed it.

Sorry Nilfisken, I have sold my extras...although I guess I have an extra Avatar and Solitare painted up if you are interested.

Cool that you’ve built these two pieces to work together Cap. Should be great gaming terrain

Thanks gobert,

An Eldar Landing Pad and Control Tower.

Dire Avenger and Wave Serpent added for size comparison.

So I found a use for all those extra transfers in the Eldar range to spruce up the terrain.

In your first WIP photos, you shared the tower by itself, and I was impressed that you put a stairway to nowhere-- very 40K, I thought. The landing pad is a nice, logical addition, though.

Now showing mutants and dungeon-crawl heroes!

Painting total as of 3 July 2025: 79 plus a Deva King statue

Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants

Very cool terrain! You could also use the stairway to heaven to land a jetbike, now when the Autarch Skyrunner is a true legend he might need to find a grand place to park up his ride

Your terrain is looking mega! Great work.

I thought you might also be interested in something like this, for that authentic 90s terrain vibe.

Great work on the landing pad and control tower, have an exalt! The Wave Serpent gives a great appreciation of the scale.

The next towers look equally interesting. Will they match up height wise with the others?

@thecrowe, those towers are really cool. They’re even designed by Dakka’s own doctorspork. He even posts some of his prints in his plog
