Did I read somewhere that Wraithguard had (pistol) on their wraithcannons?

If so where, & was that changed (and where?)

Read the War Construct ability on their Datasheet

You did read that.

Get the Index Cards errata from here:
https://www.warhammer-community.com/warhammer-40000-downloads/
Look at page 2, which says this:
"Wraithguard – Abilities, War Construct - Delete the final sentence of this ability."

The original index card said:
"War Construct: Once per battle round, when an enemy unit targets this unit, after that unit has finished making its attacks, this unit can shoot as if it were your Shooting phase. When doing so, this unit’s ranged weapons have the [PISTOL] ability."

Search Dakka for "+Wraithguard +pistol",
And look on threads like this:

There's a lot of chatter about the loss of Pistol. I can't seem to find much of that though.

We did.

Nobody at the game owns the physical cards so we went to the WarCom downloads.
The Pistol bit is not there (anymore).

Wich, when combined with how the errata is worded, leaves you wondering what the hell GW meant.
(It just tells you to delete the last line of the ability, but doesn't provide the text).
Fortunately it was just several of us talking 40k after the game so didn't screw anything up...
●one guy insists that WG no longer have their War Construct ability at all.
●several agreed that it meant remove the "as if in your shooting phase" bit.
●I insisted theyd removed the part obout the wc gaining the pistol ability. Evidently I'm the only one of us who read the data card before the change.
And once home & looking at the files I'd downloaded in the desktop? I downloaded them after the change had been made.

They have removed the part about counting as PISTOL. The currently-available Datacard has the full and correct current text of the War Construct rule.

Which is why I keep copies of most downloads they put out. The original downloadable index cards were the same (nearly) as the physical cards.
The naming on the files is annoying though.
