Wow, I used to work at a hardware store so I know what its like dealing with the general public. We had two customers fighting for a parking spot one time. A black woman and a dude driving a truck with a confederate flag on it. The police were there in like two minutes I kid you not.

I confess I do park in the fire lane. Ever since I started working for roto rooter I just park the van in front and run in for my milk or what not. Everyone just thinks I'm there for some plumbing emregency I think I'll just find a normal spot after hearing about this.

well done for standing up to the people in the story, but I'm not really sure what a fire lane is... but yeh, manners are going downhill way to much these days-I mean I'm a teenager and its starting to amke me a little hot under the collar, or sumit like that

In the united states, or where I live at least, what we refer to as a fire lane is a space in front of the store that is to be left empty so that fire, emergency medical, or other services can move equipment in close to the building there. I don't know what they're actually legally called.
