Infinity seems pretty cool. I've got some models and my terrain collection becomes more and more compatible with it, but I've not played. People seem to like warmachine/hordes for competitive gaming don't they? There are lots of skirmish games around, new and old.
Me? Taking it easy today, too tired to paint =/

Warmachine/Hordes is a relatively good rule set that is clear, well-written and concise for competitive play, but can be played casually as well. Game itself is pretty well balanced as well, but it tends not to be so much at lower points levels and some bad match-ups, hence the two-list format you usually see in tournaments, but the factions( save for minions and some of the contracts for mercs to a certain degree since they have fewer models to have access to, but often you can still play competitively but you just have a very limited choice of what to take) themselves are very well balanced.

Just picked up my 7th ed from my friends house. Having seen the recent FAQ's have just shelved my BA until the new codex drops and am now making sure my Iyanden army is completely painted before they hit the tabletop in a month's time.

Painted the rivets gold on my Baneblade Fortress of Arrogance.
That was actually surprisingly fun. Lots of brainless painting, just dabbing tons of rivets while chatting with a buddy. Really enjoyable, and it looks fething ace.

Well, I have been working away on what I affectionately call my "Super-Duper Heavy", or 40k meets Command and Conquer:
and the obligatory scale shot:
Also, here is a link to Facebook (Ugh!) where there is another (short) WIP video involving a commissioned Space Pirate of some repute:
https://www.facebook.com/OutcastStudio/posts/774697325897893
(also, first time ever making a video)
If you could give us a Like/follow, that would be amazing, but just to tempt you to look, a teaser pic...
cheers

New hobby lobby open in town! Holy crap I've got hobby stuff within a 5 minute drive instead of an hour!
It was crowded, but I picked up a stencil set that should have viability for putting letters/numbers on my deadzone and it's even got some frilly old english frames for doing that too.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.
-Leman Russ, Meditations on Imperial Command book XVI (AKA the RT era White Dwarf Commpendium).
Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Well, I just finished the final assembly on the last of my plastic Dark Eldar. Now I have 5000+ points worth of sprues to go through and clip all the spare bits off of, and then sort them into the various parts of my bitz box.

Some stuff, yeah. I still got six units in metal to assemble, one unit of converted PVC, and two more vehicles to pick up before I think I'll be done with the standard line. (Save for Reavers and Hellions, which I'm always going to be trying to pick up on the cheap.) After that I'm going to look at picking up some Forgeworld models, probably a Tantalus and 1-2 Reapers. Assuming the new Codex doesn't come along and throw my plans for a loop.

After sorting through all the extra bits I have, I realize I can make another thirty warriors, providing I'm willing to do a little bit of conversion work with them. Sigh.
