I am really debating whether or not I should buy another 2.5k worth of skaven. All unpainted and that would bring me to above 6.5k worth of skaven. It is such a good deal.

Problem is that would bring me to like 500 models.....and that is a ton to paint. Also with all the Fantasy End Times stuff I kind of want to save up for the possible Skaven End Times book. With a plastic vermin lord....or I will ask for that for christmas (if it is out by then anyways)

Might put together another 25 giant rats later tonight.

After a tumultuous period, I am back at work modelling up my Halo UNSC themed Imperial Guard army. I have just had my first date with Green Stuff, and I have to say, I really, really like her. Anyway, without further ado, here is my current WIP shot of the ODST 'Scorch'

Building a box of the new Ghazi Muttawi'ah. Best metal models I've put together that I can remember. Everything just fits so nicely.

I really like the look of those new Ghazi so much better compared to the old ones.

Can't wait to see what you do with them.

Worked on Bel'Akor yesterday and today, had my new girlfriend paint up some tanks for me as well. She's never been exposed to the hobby and got all excited to help me paint.

I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself for finishing a batch of Dropzone Commander models. I've got a goal to finish my starter set before the 29th of November. Only 5 models left, I'm feeling like I've got a good shot at pulling it off.

I've put more pics in my DZC blog.

I like the blister of 3 Ghulam, the guy with the bandage on his head and knife is especially grizzled and awesome.

No, when I said old, I meant old. The first edition Ghulam.

Here's all of the old Ghulam hanging out.

Those were the ones I meant. I have the three closest to the front. The middle guy I quite like the other two not so much.

Mind sharing the colour you used for the pants?

I was mostly reponding there to GrimDork - the Ghulam he described is the new Ghulam (bandaged face, holding a knife, otherwise referred to as Ghulam Snake). Yeah, the scarved Ghulam is pretty cool. He's usually my Lt. Just has that look.

For the pants, prime grey. Base coat Jack Bone (P3). Wash Strongtone Ink (Army Painter). Relayer Jack Bone over raised areas. This is where it gets a bit muddy - I can't remember how I highlighted it back then. I've changed the colour since. Now I do a shade of Skepeton Bone (Army Painter), then mix a little white into it for a final highlight.

Desert Snake, right?

So the most recent Ghulam release is the *third* iteration of them? The new box of 4 that kind of looks more like the Hafza?

I like yours either way Loki, definitely look like Haqq/desert troops.

Currently compiling my Space Marine Pile O' Shame photos over on the blog, and going to put together the Icestorm Mototronica scenery pack later on if there is time.

Ogres look quite solid. So you've got about 6 months to adepticon huh? I used to be able to churn armies out but I don't think I could do that again nowadays.

Thanks! Ill be taking better pictures after the army is done.
Yeah just about 6 months left I'm so excited! it's my first time going.
My nid force is mostly bigger creatures so it shouldn't take all that long to paint up. I gotta order my twin linked brain-leach devours for FW soon.

Ahh I was wondering if maybe it was big bugs.

I never have played 40k competitively (or well in a tournament), and I know nothing of 7th, would be kinda cool to play some games again though. Maybe I'll go for Infinity or something else smaller scale.

Yeah. There was the first edition design, which had actual body armour and a weird hairdryer vent on the back. This included 3 rifle models, a panzerfaust, hacker, doctor and HMG. Then they redesigned them completely for the human sphere era starter, which was just 3 rifle models. Then redesigned them slightly again for the support weapon box, which are intended to mesh with the 3 from the human sphere era starter.

Oh well that explains things nicely then I only know a little about Haqq from my fledgling QK force.

I decided to build my mototronica cardstock terrain from my operation icestorm infinity starter set, pictures getting deployed into my blog after a quick edit.
