Nope. 25 mm bases are obsolete, or going to be on (as I understand right now) all power armored models.

About damn time too. These bases are far too tiny for both SM and Necrons. But from what I understand, there's absolutely no problem with the old bases. I certainly am not re-basing mine but I'm damn happy with the new extra space for new models.

Seems like an obnoxious choice on their part. I'm sure some folks will still find a silver lining in there somewhere though.
Oh well, I don't think I'll ever finish a marine army enough to care with little to no interested (in 40k) local opponents.
As of now I'm fiddling with the components of the x-wing starter box to get the rules down. I've abandoned the ships for simplicity and as it allows me to field 2x4 instead of the included 1x2 ships using just the ship-base-insert-things, just have to jot moves down on a pad due to shortness of dials.

Four of us got together and played Warhammer Quest.
We had a Wizard (me), a Warrior Priest, an Elf Ranger and a Bretonnian Knight. We went through our first two dungeons pretty well, and didn't have the events going to towns and within the towns screw us over too badly.
Then we played the third dungeon, and in the final room drew a series of events that we couldn't fight. TPK, and we lost everything.
A great time was had by all.

Now I'll put it together.
However, I'm wondering that the Tactical have also larger bases.
I thought only DC got larger ones.
Looks like all Marines are on 32s from now on, and Necrons may be going that way too. Nothing to stop you using 25s, though.
The Marines on the larger bases look great.
I wonder if they can be ordered online?
They are on GW site, but temporarily out of stock. It shouldn't be long before the 3rd party base makers get some 32s out.
Yep. I am just waiting for someone to make 32 blanks with the heightened lip, probably SWM.
Sucks that I have already bought a ton of SWM 25mm blasted wetlands and now they are going to 32mm and I am not even done the first batch of 25mm...
Edit: Forgot to mention what I am working on. I am working on scratchbuilding a RT Land Raider, I would strip a MK1 Rhino or a 2nd edition Dreadnought but, Sweden seems to be a void as far as strippers go, compared to the U.S.

I've gotta finish airbrushing one last holiday gift shirt: "I'm commander Shepard, and this is my favorite shirt on the Citadel" seemed amusing enough to make as a shirt for a Mass Effect loving niece. Then I've got to heat set all of the shirts and then comes the dreaded washing where I cross my fingers and reconsider my religious affiliation while fervently hoping the colors don't fade out terribly. Hopefully after that, I can put some paint down on some minis

From what I've been told from GW, it is your choice to change the base sizes. I'm not in the tourney scene so I don't know what they'll rule. You can still run around with 25mm, go to 32mm or some of both.
I only have one set of 'nid warriors based on the old 40mm and they barely fit on those as is, so I plan on swapping over to the bigger bases myself. I'm sure somebody out there will start selling ring base expansions...or you could just make em yourself
Today I chatted about how to make jungle bases for my 'nids and did some research on it. Started working on the swarm box my fiance bought me for christmas (...so many gaunts...)
Realized that since I run two horde armies I really should push getting an airbrush on my priority list If nothing else, just so I can basecoat faster
I was kinda hoping to get a kill team game in today, but no luck.

I decided my first army that uses autumn bases will have 25mm and the second army that will feature rocky ocean bases instead will have the bigger bases.
As for what I am doing, I am shrinking those Land Raider mk1 templates so I can make a tiny scout variant of it.
