Everyone, I think!
Personally, if I only buy half a dozen models at a time they all get painted pretty quickly, especially if they're different enough that it's not a chore. Meanwhile, anything in large quantity that's repetitive just sits for aaages. (looking at you, Space Hulk Genestealers and Mantic Zombies). It's about the only reason I am slightly hesitant to get the new HH set, as while I'm sure it will get painted at some point, I don't want to end up painting the cool stuff (characters, dreads, termies) then slogging through 30 Marines...

I echo Paradigm on that one, I very, very rarely meet any hobbyist that is on top of their collection and has everything painted and just buys a unit and then paints them and then moves onto the next one. All part of the fun.
Vault dwellers? Is there a Fallout miniatures game?
Not an official one. There is Wasteman, which is a pretty goofy post apocalypse game, and there's This Is Not A Test, which is clearly directly inspired by Fallout (lots of the factions correspond with Fallout factions).
And there are some unofficial miniatures which rip off Fallot. The vault dwellers I'm painting are brother vinni miniatures' Post Apocalypse Citizens.

Bethesda are in a habit of not chasing up copyright violators making miniatures of their products, so aye, there's a fair few (well maybe a half dozen) people out there selling miniatures based on their games. =P
Today for me I've been painting ; Two Dwemer Warriors, a Kwama Forager, and a Russian Gaz-Tigr, along with sculpting up an Ascended Sleeper. ...Most of that stuff is from The Elder Scrolls, ah, but the Tigr's been sitting half painted for months, so I thought I'd give it a go. Hopefully I can have something finished by tonight (even if I'm going to be out all day), though I may have to just post the Ascended Sleeper in my Elder Scrolls thread if I fail at that.

Yeah I have too many models, and always have. Originally I had more than were painted because of 40k/fantasy requiring a lot of models for 'proper' games and being impatient. Nowadays it's because of kickstarter and sales, buy when it's cheap and hope to sort it all out later

I'm actually on top of my leadpile. My to-do list is less than six months, and after that I don't have any plans.
I have a spare case of unpainted infantry, but I'm not aiming to paint them. They're going to be "spares" so that I can swap and change the colour themed squads with special weapons, drop the vox, etc.

Wow. I seem to be a rarity. I buy something, assemble and paint it, then buy something else. I don't buy something (unless its a super deal I can't pass up) until I finish my last project. I also don't used anything in a game until it's painted.

Spent the day painting the green of the Forge World HH Salamanders scheme:
Got it wrong:
Got closer:
Got it right:
Then got it wrong again because I'm a dumbass and didn't write the recipe down:
Ugh, I do not like this colour... Or rather, I do when I get it right, as I'm really pleased with the Sergeant, but the other two are thoroughly mediocre.

Put together some Khador Widowmakers this morning. I will probably work on part of a Winter Guard Deathstar next (just the max base unit plus standard bearer and officer).

That awful moment when you drop and spill an entire pot of nuln oil wash onto the carpet leaving a massive stain...I'm not even upset about the carpet. A glass of water and a black coloured bath towel to soak up the ink cleaned up the worst of it.
No, whats truly upsetting is that I no longer have any black wash.

Working on getting half my Cygnar done before next Sunday. Its only six models left but at 2-8 hours of painting for each depending on the size of the model, I might need some luck.

Built an Aquila Strongpoint for my Skitarii to lurk in.
Converting a Maggoth Lord model into something 40k-worthy. Maybe a Great Unclean One or similar.
Converting a pack of plague drones into Blight Drones as a fun conversion project.

Working on my Black Legion chosen of Abaddon for my Black Crusade army.
Nurgle, Undivided (nominal champion) and Khorne more or less done. Still working on my Slaanesh and Tzeentch conversions, not sure if I am happy where the last two are.

Been doing Kingdom Death stuff, after a mega-session of 8+ hours yesterday two of our players have earned the right to own a custom mini representing their hunter:

Finishing up the last few Orks I have available for my Epic Speed Freaks. I have about 100 more vehicles and about 40 infantry stands to go when Vanguard miniatures start selling the Trouble maker games stuff:
I did these over the weekend, the Battlewagon is older than the majority of people on Dakka while the Gunwagons are older than about half the people on Dakka

Spent the rest of Sunday building a book case with my wife. Staining that tonight. Not terribly happy with it, but it's our first attempt. Already planning round 2!

Much of what I paint is OOP, so I either buy it then and there, or I may not see it again for 6 months, or in some cases, ever.
All metal IG is a very difficult army to budget for.
Trying to decide between buying Roboute Guilliman or pre-ordering Betrayal at Calth. Truly a hobby decision for the ages.

Got to play a small game of KoW against my dad. Undead vs Kingdoms of Man. He defeated me quite handily, picking up on the importance of flanking and maneuvering really quickly.
It was a lot of fun!

I just got a wonderful surprise at my FLGS: I sold a few of my MtG rares for store credit and got enough to buy a new Fire Warrior box with some store credit left over! I'm pumped to get more of my cards down there! At this rate, I could fund my whole planned fleshing-out of my Tau army without having to spend a dime out of my bank account! I didn't realize that I had such valuable cards, or I would have done this sooner since I hardly ever play Magic.
My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2023: 40 | Total models painted in 2024: 13 | Current main painting project: Dark Angels

I know the feeling. When I sold my 2,000+ SOB army I was able to buy into WMH and Infinity. Gotta love store credit.
