Just a point of observation, but I find it funny how the WizKids HorrorclixAlien Queen is more.accurate to the movie queen than this proposed mock up.
The dorsal spines are supposed to terminate with a point, not blunt like the rest of the hive. The hands are a HUGE improvement over the clix queen though.
So can you believe it: we have the Queen AND so need some more Stretch Goals:
And yes we mean 'per Backer'!
Choose an faction and you will get 3 markers (so 3 Eggs or 3 Synthetics or 3 Predator Weapons).Choose an faction and you will get 3 markers (so 3 Eggs or 3 Synthetics or 3 Predator Weapons).
This is an unexpected one so much more to follow. This is an unexpected one so much more to follow.
Once again the fan boys in the comments section amaze me.
I see some folks bragging about pledging with another account to get more free 'one per backer' marker sets. So, unless you are UK based, a separate pledge under a different account incurs a £10 shipping fee, and you do that so you can get a £7.5 set of markers 'free'?
I guess IF that got the total pledgers over 2k it pays off...
As for getting folks to pledge £1 who don't really want anything just to get to the 2k pledgers, I can't help but wonder if they all realize that if for example it took 300 £1 pledges to get us there, Prodos pays out 17000 if bonus to the 1700 legitimate pledges. For a bunch of folks who seem to be fans of Prodos, I'm not sure that really shows the love they think it does. It really isn't any worse than the folks who they accuse of trolling when the total hits a stretch goal and then drops below it. In fact it may be worse as it could cost Prodos quite a bit.
Yet, if you have legitimate issues or questions some of these same folks will jump in your gak.

If you want to be insulting, at least use the correct word. If reading my comments spoils your fun, I highly suggest hitting the ignore button and or telling the mods about my unruly fun spoiling behavior.
Edit: Just for gaks and giggles, what part of the post you replied to spoiled your fun? The parts where I pointed out folks were hurting Prodos, or the part where I commented on the boorish behavior of the fan boys?

yeah, Finally gave in and decided to back this. I want to pledge less than £250 and get 10 marines plus a whole feth load of aliens plus cloaked versions of the 5 predators (3 plus female & Berserker) So I figure two box games, but it's so confusing. Is it better to double pledge we're in the pipe plus payback or single pledge if it bleeds?
if someone has the time and is familiar with the system can check my working out I'd appreciate it. they look pretty much the same unless i'm missing something?
Spoiler:
Is it better to double pledge we're in the pipe plus payback 2x royal guard (£40) 2x bezerker (£20) 2x free add-on (£30) 2x free model (£20) £60 credit £10 bonus credit -total £180 of stuff plus two copies of game for £200 plus 11 face huggers
single pledge if it bleeds? 1x royal guard (£20) 1x bezerker (£10) 1x free add-on (£15) 1x free model (10) £110 credit £35 bonus credit -total £200 of stuff plus two copies of the game for £210 plus 8 facehuggers

Panic: Someone in the comments section has a really good pledge calculator that will help you figure it out the best price to get what you want. Really it is going to depend on what you want. For example, you say you want 10 marines. If you get two boxes, you get 10, but it is 2 each of 5 poses. If you get 1 box and an 'add on' set of marines, you'll have 10 different marines...

So I don't believe we'll be seeing those Alien Warrior renders until after the KickStarter ends, and if they of the same 'quality' of the Queen, well...

We get the baby bonus. We hit the $$$ goal before the baby was born and Prodos has confirmed we will get the bonus.
No free cloaked Pred. They are 10 each.

That is a good point. I would not pledge towards them until you are happy with any renders they show post project, then add funds during the post project period if they will fit your needs.
I'm not going to get stuff I haven't seen and liked, but for the level I am currently pledged at I can fill out my credit with stuff I do like.

You haven't spoiled my fun, but every time I come on hear to look at updates I have to wade through a bunch of repeated posts like yours (and a few others) complaining about whatever little thing's got your craw or a play-by-play of the comments section. If you don't like it, you don't have to back it, and move on. If you do have serious concerns, be constructive about it.
But you're right, I should just ignore you, so I think I will.

The lads here also helped me with this question..I am in for a 275.00 pledge and got 1X "We're in the Pipe" and 2X Looking good there boss. Getting these 3 pledges you get 15 facehuggers, 3X the 100k free addon, 3X the free berserker, 3X the 155k free model, 3x the 270k Free Royal Guard, plus 210 to spend on addons. This is better than 1X Get to the Chopper. although it is over your budget of 250.00 pledge.
And quoting Basement.dweller
If we assume we pass all stretches except the 2000 backers stretch - CHOPPER will be valued at £468 while 1x"PIPE"+ 2x"LOOKING GOOD" at the same price will be valued £495.
Hope this helps.

I’m sure glad GW is going to all plastic, so the ever-rising cost of white metal won’t impact the cost of their miniatures.

Welcome, Panic! Basement_dweller is the man for most efficient pledge. I think the discount on "If it bleeds" is pretty darn good, and then you don't have to get 2 copies of the base game and have more add-on credit.
Here's where he last linked to his pledge calculator, although I don't know if it's been changed to show that the Praetorian is IN baby
yeah, Thanks for all the tips guys... but even using the calculator made my head whirl! It's amazingly over complicated. In the end I've pledged £228 -If it bleeds
Using if it bleeds seemed like the easiest way to increase alien count! Plus the extra box will have more tiles, tokens and dice.. and I'm now thinking Facehugs are per box?
Again if anyone knows a better way to buy this let me know!!
I've bought what I think is a good ammount of aliens to put up against a squad of marines. I expect that when playing predators you only get 1-3 in game.. but having the cloaked version I think is mandatory!! I've not bought any crushers or young bloods as I've never heard of them before. I might drop the guns and loader as they are pretty specific to the movie plot and not a general universe thing... or switch the cash to buy young bloods...
Regardless this is supposed to be a ongoing game system so buying extras should be possible later if the game is actually any good!!?

I passed on the cloaked Preds due to the cost and the fiddlyness of clear resin. I was hoping it was going to be like Zombicide where you'd get the Pred and his cloaked Version together.

I've added a section at the BOTTOM where you put in what pledges you want and it gives you the the value, credit, and the exact bonus items - including extra credit. This way you are not limited to a certain combination. All stretches updated and accounted for.
Also - RiTides is right - the best pledge in terms of value for money is "If it Bleeds", you'd have to spend more than that on lesser pledges to get a better deal. Possibly 3x"Pipe", but that's kind of boring with no real free credit allocated.

Sheesh, everyone seems to have way more money than me I'm still sitting on the £125 Payback time and considering throwing a few quid more if I can afford it - will wait until the pledge manager comes out though before I decide my final list and see the renders we're waiting on.
Me and my GF are going through our two accounts (Well, both mine. She just uses the other one).
Going for:
Marines:
Sarge
11 Marines (5 Free with one account. Got one at the Open day)
2 Sentry Guns (Free with one account)
Power loader
Aliens:
Alien Dice
11 Facehuggers
5 Stalkers
11 Infants (got one at the Open day)
5 Warriors (Free)
2 Royal Guard (1 from each account)
1 Predalien (Free)
1 Crusher
1 Queen
3 Eggs (Free at Open day)
Predators:
4 Predators (One free at Open day)
1 Female Predator
2 Berserkers (One per account)
1 Cloaked Female Predator
2 Hellhounds
3 Young Bloods
Having people with me at Open Day was a great idea. Got one of each race and eggs each.

yeah, I think your right. If the predators have two modes they should come as pairs.
as a optional 'token' for game play I don't understand why there are no discout package options to encourage purchase... 3 cloaked 'box' predators - £20 Female predator plus her cloaked female - £15 3x young bloods plus 3x cloaked young bloods - £35
Also I think the resin objectives should be a box upgrade goal... 3x eggs, 1x predator pole and 1x synthetic
..
is it May yet?

This might sound boring, but I plan on printing up Predator silhouettes on overhead paper with a refracted light effect. it's cheaper and frankly I never liked the look of clear cast figures, they always look a bit too glossy or fail in some other way to emulate the effect.
Oh - and I've seen some horrible examples of inked clear stuff... It just looks like fancy art glass stuff If anyone has any tips on how to make it look good I would be happy to hear some suggestions as I might get one just to try it.

Update #23 Nov 27, 2013
Hangar on a minute... What's this...
Comment Like
Close, but no prize. It's the...
DOCKING BAY...
Okay, so we have been showing sneak peaks for a few days now and dropping hints, but it's finally here. Finished literally about an hour ago and photos 30 minutes ago as I write this.
The Docking Bay is the staple of many sci-fi movies and so it belongs here. It was something we had on the books from the start, but not planned to make for the KS. However, early on it was demanded as a staple setting, (before we all got carried away by requesting the more obscure items ranging from Hot Tubs to Drop Ships), so we carefully made some plans just in case we got that far into the funding... and boy did we get far. )
The images below are based on two tools so this will be a much bigger add on at twice the size of the normal single one. The tool will also be very complex. Yeah Baby )
They've breached the energy field sir!
Squeak, squeak, Come on boys, we're in!
Control to security, back up in docking bay 12!
Take em down!
Damn it, Wheres my back up!!!
I'll hold them off sir! (there is only three)
Is anyone coming to help!
And so it was...
The airlock style surround (on the floor) will have a variety of images that you can download and print for placing underneath. For example airlock doors in the closed potion, then in open showing the shaft and then the opening into space. Maybe some water, or a reactor field. )
We will confirm that exact contents over the next few days and have it up as a stretch goal ready for the last run.
Video...
The final shots have been taken and this will go up tomorrow. It will explain about the durability of the card, as well as a few other questions that have been asked.
It is now well and truly past my bedtime (the KS altered bedtime too) and so it's over and out from me.

I'll assume you mean mine when you mention horrible examples of inked clear stuff (and I am genuinely okay with that), but I honestly think they look pretty good in hand. Better than the pictures show.
The inks at least bring out the details in the minis in my opinion.
