Add me as a +1 to the "I haven't got jack-gak" column. My PM still says "awaiting", and I used my full name, not a nickname, when I pledged for this kickstarter. Just plain tired of one excuse after another.

Well I've sent an email to arrange pick up from salute, let's see if I get any response. I wouldn't have thought they would want me anywhere near them but hey ho.

Well I intend to door step them (make a suprise demand) for free product in lieu of the shipping cost I'm saving them and the inconvenience they are causing me. Should go down like a fart in a elevator.

1) Are you on a phone?
2) 'door step'?

Yes and door step is an English way of saying to 'take them by suprise' like turning up announced on someone's door step.

I doubt you'll get a reply. Despite similar requests at all of the other cons they've attended, they have refused to pre-arrange collection and always done a "first come, first served" system with very limited stock. At UK Expo last year, if you weren't through the door inside the first 10 minutes, you were out of luck. I've heard similar stories from other events.

Good luck, let us know how you get on. It was a promise made in their update of October 18th btw. I've emailed them with the exact same request stating that I expect them to include that model in my wave 3 shipment. I have (after I was told on facebook that I only had facehuggers - my only wave 3 item - left to come, had confirmation from Prodos that they have my email. I shall be hammering that request home if need be.

Don't worry I intend to go full donkey-cave if necessary ;-)

Just seen the render for the dropship, they have made it short and fat. No me gusta.

So the Drop ship comes without the APC.

Yet not too long ago...

Prodos Games Ltd says:
Hello backers,
Before we get inundated with questions in relation to pledges, I would ask that you read the previous update in relation to the issue we had in relation to door stands. Sure we should have made sure that we had the supplier locked in but things like this happen and we were caught out. This has led to a 5 week delay in shipping and is unfortunately outside of our control. Some have asked as to the reason that we didn’t announce this earlier. The reason is that we didn’t want to panic anyone and had hoped that the new supplier could be sourced much faster such that there would essentially have been no need to inform anyone of the problem. I am now acknowledging that all packages have not yet been issued because of this delay and I know some of you out there are still awaiting wave 2.
At this time we are currently looking at packing 50 of pledges to be posted this week with the remainder to issue shortly. This has been solely down to the issue with the stands and no other reason. We have funds to ship, we are working on new stuff and we are awaiting on Fox to clear some beautiful new sculpts.
Some of you have already seen some 3d concept of the new Dropship and looking at it, it’s going to be huge. Pricing wise we’re not 100% sure until it’s actually cast but what I can say is, it is planned, that this will be a 2 model box set. That’s right, 2 models. 1 the Dropship and the 2nd being the APC. We are really excited about making these iconic vehicles.
Back to talking about the stands. We have received Monday stands. Yesterday the 1st wave of games came to us (2 pallets as on attached pictures), and today, despite the huge shortage on staff due to sickness, 50 of them are going out. Reminding games should be with us within 2-3 weeks and it's game over. Please bear in mind, some of these stands will be different colours but this is unavoidable as we are trying to ship this out as fast as possible.(and to be honest, aliens keep ripping the doors open in all our games anyway so they never last long)
Approvals: we are green lighted on : Young Bloods, Sentry Guns, Female Predator, they will be available for collection at Salute. And part of wave 3 post Salute ( along with remaining clear predators, Sergeant, and other alternative pieces), hence wave 3 will start post Salute (beg of April), I understand that for some of you it may be 1st/2nd/3rd wave, and we had to deliberately postpone shipping of newly approved item due to manpower capacity constrains (packing) and constant over-promising.
Shipping pre-Salute: we will get as many parcels as possible in next 3 weeks, however there won't be no shipping 2 weeks before Salute, simply due to shortage on staff and preparing stock/pledges for collection, if any, for Salute.

Jarek on Facebook wrote:,<SNIP> as for dropship, we will revisit it a bit, in general the movie one has no room for a APC to go inside... so we needed to bulk it a bit (5%) to fit APC in real scale. but as this had so much "prodos dad, gak and in general go F your self" we may just cancel the APC and keep closed ram drop ship with much "movie" scale and less rivets (that would not be there after 3d print anyway, but hey, this is what you get when you show just a half of the story.

So no APC maybe because Prodos are taking their toys home in a fit of pique after people said the drop ship wasn't very good and that Prodos aren't very good.

So they have it for pre-order, and it may end up being closed ramp. Or not. Aside from fething themselves (a suggestion I for one think they should take), they should let folks know what they can expect for what they are charging.

I like that they're attempting a 28mm Dropship. Zero chance that I'm sending money in the hope of getting product at a later date.

Too bad, as it would be quite a cool centerpiece.

OTOH, for $20...

I must have received brain damage as a kid, because I just pre-ordered one of these fat squat dropships.

I did get a notice that they will dispense orders in reverse chronological order. So, the orders placed first will fulfilled last, just like the kickstarter campaign backers.

Which, I am a "get to the chopper" backer with nothing to show for it.... yet. I'm hoping that they will ship everything at once. I kind of doubt it however. Especially since I included the 3D tiles to my "get to the chopper" reward. I talked to Prodos last year when they were at Adepticon, and they said the 3D board was looking really cool. They mentioned that the side walls were high as they were initially rendered, but were removable from the base.

an update regarding the drop ship ... background ... Prodos are taking heavy fire on Facebook for the design of the dropship, which many backers think is too far removed from the original.

Yep, read that 6 posts above yours.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I wonder if Fox approved the Prodos design.

I sure as hell think you are insane to pre-order if Fox has not approved it.

On the one hand, how could Prodos announce it if it were not approved? On the other, why on earth would Fox have approved that monstrosity? (and why in Gods name would anybody actually want one?)

They could announce it unapproved so they can suck in pre-order dollars they need to ship out other product.

I admit, they have been reluctant to show unapproved items, but I would not put it past them to do so at this point.
