Gutter Bowl? Random. At least it shows that BB must still be selling well for GW to make an official version of this.

Apparently, for the last few months at least, they’ve been running the machines non-stop to make Leviathan boxes and everything else got the short end of the stick.

Sounds like a bit of a laugh! Perhaps a bit of variety between local seasons, as your favourite on-pitch hooligans keep their hand in?

Really like the look of this. Been making a pitch for street bowl and this looks similar but it's official!

In the pic on the main WH page the illustration shows Skaven and Goblins in the same team colours as well. Hopefully maybe mixed teams or an Underworld repack will be available.

Wonder if this will be seven a side too. Probably should be if it's based off street bowl.

Excited but patiently waiting for new teams.

*Just realised the dug outs have 6 turns so yep should work like sevens.

It might well have been this or them feeling they had to do another new edition since it was 2020 (?) when 2nd came out

3 years seems to be the longest they can leave something without fiddling even if it's doing well

^Yep lol. We did get Blood Bowl Sevens with a pitch since 2020 then Dungeon Bowl and now soon, this year Gutter Bowl.

Don't worry, still on track for Blood Bowl 3rd season box set with 2 new teams next year 2024

All over the 40K thread here and a couple of other forums etc. combined with the state of things like the latest kill team box selling out in seconds and LGS getting small percentages of their requests fulfilled…

The original article wording mentioned new rules and several new teams so I suspect it would have been the gutterball rules and a couple of teams (either new or mixed teams using existing rules) to go with them. Appears to have been premature though as should have had preview articles first.

Sounds like fun, but still hoping for both new teams and more Dungeon Bowl expansions! ^_^

Could also use it for a super narrative Sports Movie Blood Bowl season or two. Potentially a pre-season way to generate new Star Players the League Teams can all bid for.

Looks pretty good. However these pre-preview things are frequently 4-6 months ahead of when you can actually order them I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't release until right before Christmas.

That *is* fast. I was expecting 3-4 months from the pre-preview until the preorder.

Anyway, I'm almost certainly going to get the Gutter Bowl set, but probably not the OWA and UD team boxes.
The video made it sound like the team cards were included in the team box set, but looking at the rest of the post, they are separate items, as usual.

Cool.

For anyone interested I heard the pitch will be standard Blood Bowl size, 15 X 26 squares but not all squares will be playable. Some will be blocked out with drains/grates etc which will make the playable area smaller than a standard game.

Interesting to see if that's the case. With no refs, crowd involvement and secret weapons it looks like fun anyway

The box they showed looked more BB7 sized than standard size. Going by the type size on the front and sides size.

Also, the dugout tracks only go up to 6.

We've had, what, two? Three articles on Gutter Ball and have they even shown us the pitch yet?

^ No full pitch pic yet. Pitchure? Some people are still divided on the pitch size.

I wondered if the rules would be available separately but maybe not. Maybe the rules are only linked to this box because of the pitch.

Was hoping for more info on how the teams are built but at least we know it is seven a side. Was hoping for mixed teams beyond the Old World Alliance and Underworld Denizens. Anyway sounds interesting with the type of team members available, maybe variable skills involved when they mentioned both young and experienced players. Seems there's plenty of events and mishaps waiting.

Doesn't look at this point like there will be the local constabulary figures 'bobbies' but I'm sure some people will model them.

Now to decide on a speedy team or a bashy one I guess

I'll bet 500 teef that the rules are going to be 90% the same as Blood Bowl 7s, just with a wacky events table added in.

The only question in my mind is if they are going to print a multi-page booklet with all the rules, or just a one pager that says "See the BB7 rules in Death Zone."

Pitch is 15 X 26 squares.

Sections are unplayable (drains or market stalls) but players can get pushed into them.
There are barricades on the pitch too with chalk outlines.
The squares that take up drains and barricades on one side of the pitch are repeated in the same positions on the other pitch (market stall side).

Those are some nice looking pitches. I'm 99.44% sure I'm going to get this one.

Incoming wild speculation...

If you're playing on the street side, you use the Blood Bowl Sevens teams & rules. If you're playing on the "sewer-side" (/rimshot) you use the Dungeon Bowl (Sevens) teams and rules.

I dig this idea. Makes Bloodbowl more of a beer and pretzels kind of a game and I am all in favor of that.
