Vampire team is gold. Absolutely peak blood bowl and they mentioned changes like blood drinking being back?

They look good, but i'm not too sure I like the high winged collars. It's kind of an exaggerated aesthetic, and they ditched the ribbed/weird chest armor from the old minis. The thrall holding the dangling bat kinda sells me on the team though.

I have shirts like those thralls!

Really nice looking team.

I love this team. Dracula vibe is strong.

Whilst I like that team very much, I do hope we'll get a resin support pack, like the Khorne team did - with a couple of female Thralls/Blitzers.

Yeah, looks like blood lust is back for real - the article specifically calls that out. Wonder what the exact wording is though… I was never fond of random key players disappearing off the pitch for an entire Down.
I mean yeah it’s better than an injury but having it happen without any interaction from the other team feels bad.

Edit: also looks like one of the models has a wing mutation; wonder if that indicates a Trait or is purely aesthetic.

Thank you James!

Not a massive fan of the frilly Interview with the Vampire style but I can cope with it. I'm just happy to finally have a new team and one of the actually interesting ones (yes I'm talking about you High Elves).

Drakfangs are ace between those and the Brutefun ones I'm not sure which I like better. Thes should be easily interchangeable, so not an issue!

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

This is probably the first non-third party team I purchase. Absolutely love this kit.

I guess it's a good thing nobody took my bet that we were getting High Elves next.

Looks nice, but I've never been a big fan of Vampires, so I will probably take a pass on this one. Looks like 6 different vampires, the one guy with his arm cocked back for a throw and other arm pointing is repeated twice for some reason. The way they're grouped makes me think 4 "blitzer" vamps and 2 "new positional" vamps and maybe 8 thralls?
Ignoring the double post anyway.

ETA: Hmm, the text says "Blitzers, Runners & Throwers" so maybe 2 of each? The double post guy and the one with the wing are the throwers probably.

Aren't all minis duplicated twice due to the fundamental law that all blood bowl must come on 2 identical sprues?

Yeah, you can see two of each body pose in the pictures.

Two identical sprues means one duplication, not two. *cough*pedant*cough*.

Newer kits have come with options to differentiate the players that have repeated poses, like different heads and arms. From what I remember, the first kit that really showed this off was the second undead team (necromantic horror?) which had some great head options (pumpkins!) as well as managing to pack 14 players into the box.

But its been pretty standard practice to stuff some extra heads onto the sprue for a couple of years now.

Well. Been rumors of the Vampire Team big guy, but happy to see it confirmed.

Count Luther von Drakenborg looks fantastic. One of the best star players I have seen.

There’s a third Star Player!

Pic was posted on FB, but when I clicked it, it came up as deleted.

So sadly I’m just going to have to “trust me, bro” on this one, and accept I’m going to look like a nutter and a liar if nobody else was able to grab a copy.

I meant that the picture of the minis is duplicated on the website. The thrower guy with the poofy shirt and the arm/wing are the same body with different arms & heads.

Vampires on preorder next weekend. Both the team, the big guy and all 3 star players.

I'll probably get the Spike!, but I'm not really that interested in playing a Vamp team.

My store is going to be pre-ordering the team, dice, and Spike for me. Our next league starts a week after they should be released... So excited.

I REALLY like the new Bloodlust, making it so you can bite a Thrall before the Movement 8 Vampire Runner takes off into the end zone is well thought out.

I had to read the rule a few times, but I'm pretty sure you can only bite a thrall at the end of your action, not at the beginning of the action. So if you want to score, pass, or handoff with a vampire that fails its bloodlust test, you need to have a thrall adjacent to the vampire at the end of that vampire's action (ex. a thrall next to the end zone square that the vampire would score in).
