Subject: Gathering Storm III: Rise of the Primarch Cinematic trailer p42
I hope Cawl's project isnt 'super space marines' but something more akin to the Imperial webway. i'd like a small technological resurgence in the Imperium, just to justify new tanks etc.
I'm not sure where the rumour on BaC came from re. Guilliman finding another primarch already in the throneroom when he arrives but I'd be interested in finding out if it's true.

The fact that you made this comment in the NEWS AND RUMOURS thread has me extremely concerned for you.
Not at all.
In our 99 page thread on Black Library News and Rumors, most people are considerate enough to use spoilers when discussing the actual plot lines from those books and short stories. The same should apply in this thread.

Putting this in spoilers for those that haven't read part 2 and I don't know if it's mentioned in part 1 as I didn't pick it up.
Spoiler:
I think his project is finding a way to sustain guilliman out of stasis, he's been lugging around a box I think it's called the triaros conveyor which I believe will be part of his life support machine in his backpack and the plans on the screen in the video are his plans for the new suit of armour guilliman gets.

He is carrying something, but the Triaros Conveyor is a Mechanicus transport vehicle, not the thing he is carrying.

We know there are more Primarchs coming, and they seem to want to make their 30k and 40k versions different. With the traitor Primarchs this seems pretty strait forward, just make them daemony. However, how would they do the loyalist ones?
Slight wishlist mode engaged.
Lionel Johnson really makes me blank out. I have nothing for him. I just hope they don't make him ride a giant lion, thunderwolf style.
Leman Russ, Somehow I'm thinking they'll do a giant wulfen/werewolf. If that happens I think there is a 60% chance of "too goofy failure".
Jakata Kan, I'm REALLY keeping my fingers crossed that they put him on a ridiculously large bike/jetbike. Something that is Landspeeder sized with upscaled weapons as well. A hurricane bolter or rapier jetbike would be pretty cool.

Anyone know the exact date when part 1 and part 2 were available? Was it around the 5th of each month?
So we can expect part 3 to be released also at that day of march?

That doesn't fit very well with the exchange between Abaddon and Zaraphiston from GS I, though.

I imagine the relic he was carrying from part one would be something like
Spoiler:
the Emperors Sword, perhaps the specific one that killed Horus? I mean, it would have to be something that would anger Abaddon...
I wonder how much of Guillimans new suit is there to sustain him and how much is just new, updated armour that he and Cawl was working on. I mean, he was working on it before the heresy broke out, and a Primarch dying before then was unthinkable, so its intended design was probably not life support.
Then again, i suppose it would be a mirror to the Emperors story, except one of them manages to get off his throne. :p

I´m wondering too what cawl has in that stasis chamber.
Spoiler:
TL;DR: in it is some kind of warp-resistant webway creation kit (or an implant or a living medkit)
I don´t think that it is the Emperors sword or any other weapon. Do weapons, especially for CC, do need to be kept in stasis?
As far as i understand it, the task that has been given to cawl pre-heresy is connected with the content of the stasis chamber.
The question is what task would the Emperor give to a high-ranking Tech-Priest? What goals had the Emperor pre-heresy?
I heard of the imperial webway project and the project of improving the space marines (though this is new and might just be an unfounded rumor).
So considering the imperial webay project.
My guess is that the Emperor tasked cawl with developing / acquiring tech that secures the imperial part of the webway without the need of a psyker sitting on the throne.
So in the box is some kind of imperial warp-resistant webway creation kit.
And Cawl needs Roboute to get access to the imperial webway as the High Lords of Terra wouldn´t let him there.
If it isn´t that than Roboute never can sit on the throne, as he is no psyker and couldn´t block the webway entrance. Which would lead to a demon invasion of Terra and may be the end of the Imperium.
Otherwise it may be indeed a new implant for space marines that would not only physically improve them but also make them all psykers. That sounds weird. But would be the only way for Roboute to become a psyker and be able to replace the Emperor. But why would the Emperor task anyone with that? He kept everything about Chaos and the warp secret. Making all the Marines Psykers would contradict his secrecy.
Maybe it is just a living being that can take the wounds, poisons and diseases it is attached to.
So they disengage the stasis of Roboute, face-hug him with that being. When it´s done it dies, fell off and Roboute is as good as new.
I really can´t image it to be any kind of armor. Why would cawl pre-heresy be task with the development of a new armor.
Are there not enough? Power armor, Terminator armor, Cataphractii armor, Centurion armor. Looks very sufficent to me. They should work to adapt all kinds of differents weapon to those armors. Cataphractii without assault cannons and cyclones is simply wrong.
Pre-heresy Roboute wasn´t deadly injured, so no need for an armor with special life support system.
Would be very disappointed if it is an armor.
Another thoughts on part 3.
I don´t think the Emperor is dead, it is enough life left so he can use his psychic powers to keep the gateway closed.
He will only finally die, if
- that gateway is made demon-proofed or
- Magnus turns loyal, be trustworthy and take the seat to close the webway
- he nearly immediatly resurrects
Cypher is a loyalist (to the Emperor) and would only kill him to proof the Starchild theory to be true.
Roboute will be the undoing of the High Lords and the Ecclesiarchy (as it is atm), a new age of enlightenment. No longer idiotic praising of tech but seeing it as useful tools. I really hope for that.
I wont be surprised to see uprated Marines (all stats with 4 going up to 5). Centurions are already halve the way.

Thats the same defence force box that has been around a long while. Its been out of stock for more than a few months on the UK site (and i guess elsewhere) so either they are putting a few more out, or are clearing stock of some they found in a warehouse/container somewhere.

If they don't change it, Horus was killed by a psychic attack.
