Additional Missions for 40k

Over at the 40kfightclub we have been complaining about the lack of variety in missions in the basic book. Rather than just complain we started a project to update old RTT and rule-book missions and create new ones while maintaining the balance created by the rule-book mission. As a result, the first edition of the 40kFightClub Mission Book is now available. Each mission has been developed and play-tested by members of the 40kFightClub.com. The book currently contains 12 missions, more missions will be added each month as they go through the play-testing phase.

We attempted to keep the same balance in terms of objectives vs. kill points and deployment styles as in the rule-book missions. This was done to maintain the game balance the basic rule-book missions add to army design. At the same time each of these missions provide more depth and variation between games than the generic missions. Each mission is based on 3 “objectives” that earn you between 4 and 10 Battle Points. Whoever has the most battle points wins the game. (The Battle Points can also be used as tournament points, although they weren't created for that purpose.) If you would like to submit ideas for future mission or help in the play-testing please stop by the Mission Development sub-forum at 40kfightclub.com. Currently this book is focused on general balanced missions. Future additions may focus on different situations (city fight, attacker/defender, jungle, etc), however they won’t be incorporated into the random mission selection. Enjoy and please do leave comments (good or bad) so we can develop better missions in the future.

Also a couple thanks are due. First we’d like to thank everyone who helped create these mission. We’d also like to TheProphet and Hornblower for starting the 40kFightClub and helping it grow to the point it has. We would also like to thank the developers of the secondary objectives for the Canadian Hall of Heroes and past RTT creators which we liberally borrowed from when creating these missions. Also credit should be given to the creators of the background images but they were found using Google and were unaccredited. If you created or know who created any of these images please let me know so we can credit them. And of course Games Workshop for creating 40k in the first place.
