The gaming group at Aero Hobbies in Santa Monica is running a build and battle campaign to build up and paint 2000 points over the next 8 months. Several of the members are running their project logs here on Dakka and I thought it would be cool to have a main page to link all of our p-logs from - I just went alphabetical by user name.
The Premise and Rules
WARHAMMER 40,000 - TALE OF MANY GAMERS
This 2000 point, Army Painting and Gaming event will run over an 8 month period. There will be 7 rounds with each round having a painting and playing requirement. Completion of these requirements is worth a number of campaign points. Whoever has the most campaign points at the end wins. First round is 2 months and 500 points worth of models painted. The six following rounds are 1 month and 250 points of painted models. You will be awarded gaming points simply for participating in games rather than winning. The focus of this event is on painting armies to completion and having fun, rather than smashing opponents.

The rules used for combat patrol are:
Armies are no more than 500 points.
You must have at least one troop choice.
You may only have one HQ, but you do not have to take an HQ choice.
You may spend remaining points from anywhere in the codex of your army.
No special characters
No 2+ saves
No models can have more than 2 wounds.
No vehicles with a total armor value 33 or more. (Calculate this by adding front, side, and rear armor values, *note: only count side armor once)
Reasonable proxies will be allowed for these two battles only.
