Why Dawn of War? First and foremost, because I really like playing Dawn of War on my computer. I have always thought that it would be fun to bring some of the dynamics of this terrific “real time strategy” computer game to the 40K tabletop.
Stuff you should know
Be warned...this scenario does not necessarily lend itself well to competitive play, your army will come in piece meal and your expensive death star unit might not make it into the game at all. That being said, there is a LOT of back and forth action and things that you do not normally see in a regular game of 40K, you might think you’ve got it made when all of a sudden a lucky shot with a Lascannon takes out your Warlord and “game over”.
All I can tell you is that I have a LOT of fun playing this on my game table. I hope you will too.
