Demolition Derby Battle Mission

Demolition Derby Battle Mission

There is no real reason why this would ever happen in the 40k universe (well orks might find it funny) but this battle mission is purely for fun and is not designed for competitive play, please note they are also experimental. For those who find things smashing into each other just to cause as much damage as possible satisfying this will be a bit of a laugh.

Objectives:

This is demolition derby! Destruction of all opponents’ vehicles (see game length and victory conditions)

Set Up:

No terrain on the board. Board size varies depending on number of vehicles per side, 4’ by 4’ table is recommended for 8 vehicles or less on the table, 6’ by 4’ table is recommended for 9 to 14 vehicles on the table. Larger than 15+ vehicles increase table size accordingly (but this is not recommended). The entire area of the table counts as being road.

Deployment:

Roll for deployment set up, on a 1 to 3 is Pitched battle (as described in 40k rule book); 4 to 6 is Spear head (as described in 40k rule book).

Reserves:

All vehicles must be deployed during deployment; none can be kept in reserve for any reason (this over rides rules that allows units to be held in reserve even if the mission states none can be taken).

First Turn:

Roll off for who goes first (as described in 40k rule book).

Game Length and Victory Conditions:

There is no turn limit, the game will end when 1 players force is either completely destroyed or has had all their surviving vehicles immobilised then the game ends with the player with mobile vehicles left being declared the derby winner! (In the case of rhino’s repair rule, if all remaining rhino's are all immobile at the same the game will end)

Scenario Special Rules:

Derby Regulations

The any vehicle units are allowed to be used with the following exceptions:

• Walkers cannot be used.

• Any vehicle with 14 armour value for all sides cannot be used.

• Immobile vehicles cannot be used.

In addition to this the following also apply:

• No upgrades can be taken on any vehicles.

• Any type of vehicle can be use together (providing they are not excluded from use by the earlier rules), for example: 2 rhino’s, 1 predator, 3 land speeders can be used.

• The force organisation chart no longer applies.

• Skimmers no longer dodge being rammed.

• All Primary weapons have been deactivated, therefore cannot be fired. But for the purposes of vehicle damage table they still count as being on the vehicle. Defensive weapons can still be used.
