Farseer Petriel's Craftworld Mireira Warhost

WELCOME, WANDERERS, TO MIREIRA CRAFTWORLD! MAY ELDANESH BE WITH YOU!

Background

Craftworld Mieira is one of the Eldar Craftworlds escaped from the horrors of the Eye of Terror 10000 years ago. It was founded by Prince Erestril of Eldar world Mireira (after whom Autarch Erestril was named) who once loved a beautiful Witch called Izelle. They had been meeting under blossoming trees and along statues of greatest Eldar gods and heroes and were happy as no other Eldar in the history of the Galaxy until she began to participate in strange hedonistic cults, the omen of the greatest tragedy for Eldar - the Fall. Erestril had a dream where he saw Asuryan and other Eldar gods warning him about the upcoming danger and started to construct the Craftworld to escape planet Mireira. He told everything to Izelle, but she refused to go with him - she wanted to get more and more perverted pleasures provided by malificent Slaanesh. And Erestril left her and others who thought that their prince had gone mad and wanted to stay on Mireira. After billions of Eldar souls were consumed by Slaanesh, Erestril grieved bitterly for the loss of Izelle. For many years, he locked himself within his cabin aboard the Craftworld, and his people were led by Farseers. He didn't rule Mireira for a very long time. Crystal Bards tell that he wanted to die in battle and was defeated by Iz'el, the Greater Daemon of Slaanesh. But these are the legends. Nobody knows what really happened to him. Now Craftworld Mireira wanders in space on the galactic fringe and seeks for calm and peaceful life. But this quest will never end, as there are always enemies who want to obliterate the arrogant long-eared race which had lost its full power many thousand years ago. It has many Farseers and Warlocks, and though they are not as famous as Ulthwe ones, they are still skillful and talented specialists in wizardry, divination and politics. Also the Craftworld has a lot of Guardians, jetbikes and vehicles but lacks Aspect Warriors. Mireira Eldar have a tradition of breeding Gyrinx and are the most famous Gyrinx-breeders in the Galaxy.

Why I Started This Army

Many years ago, when I first saw Eldar in DoW, I thought that they are egg-headed methane-breathing reptiloids but they actually are elves. Space elves. Or elves in space. Actually Eldar are a very ancient and mysterious race, intelligent and technologically advanced, noble and sometimes arrogant. Also they have some fantasy feel I continued by ading High Elf models to my army. The history of creating Mireira army is in my blog: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/396433.page
