Regarding: 33rd Kompany of Engineers (Pioneers), Death Korps of Krieg, 8th Line Korps

Inquisitor, I submit to you the following information regarding the 33rd Kompany of Engineers (Pioneers), Death Korps of Krieg, regarding their participation in the Deichlan War.

Battle for Nederveich

Date: 977.M41 - 981.M41.

During the Deichlan War the planet Nederveich came under attack from within by renegade forces and was later assaulted by Orks from the warband 'WAAAAGH! Forktoof'. Initially elements from Elysia, Krieg, Poran & Pikering responded, with the Krieg XII Army Group arriving first. The XII Army Group comprised the 12th Division. This contained two Line Korps, the 5th & 8th, each of which contained 5 Brigades with 3 Regiments in each, along with their support elements, providing a significant presence upon the planet. Elysian forces were somewhat smaller consisting of 3 Drop Regiments, each 3 Battalions strong. Along with a few Drop Troop regiments from Poran & Pikering they comprised the 1st Grav-chute Division. The war progressed slowly with the Death Korps troops pushing the renegades back and the Grav-chute Division performing fast, lightning strikes, the greatest being a full Division drop into the Dadannel area in 'Operation: Blind-Eye', capturing important crossing points overwhich the newly formed XXII Corps crossed and turned on the renegades flank. However at this point the Ork assault began.

Faced with battle on two fronts the loyalist forces entrenched themselves, with the two Krieg Line Korps to the South & East containing & pinning back the renegade forces, whilst XXII Corps faced to the North-East, taking the brunt of the Ork assault. Relief arrived in the support of a Company of the Black Templar chapter who, in co-ordination with the armoured might of XXII Corps, managed to push back the Ork warband. At this point the 14th Cadian Brigade arrived upon the planet with the 133rd, 171st & 203rd Mordian Regiments of Foot. Additional reinforcements would continue to arrive until, 4 years after the rebellion the war was over.
