A review by wash-away

A little while ago I bought a set of 10 bases from SWM and my first impression is wow it was shipped fast.

Now what he sells, the Runic Mountain Bases are a straight edged 25mm (and larger) base

how well do those turn out though? They look very impressive but so do a lot of bases when their painted up and taken for photo's.

Review

-shipping. 10/10

For 10 bases I got a padded envelope and an invoice, very well done. by no means do you get the 'garage' kit feel from this. Not to mention how fast I got it, very professional.

-packaging 8/10

Comes in a little bag. The bag is high quality and they look good. I would rate higher but the hole cuts out the logo and its plain black. Though this has nothing to do with the actual bases a good package means a good product. If they're taking care in their product, they'll take care of it when they're making it too.

-base design/quality 8/10

Virtually no bubbles, in fact I saw maybe a few bubbles on the bases. I do wish they where more 'runic' then simply mountain however I do like the design and the 'straight' edge looks good.

-detail 9/10

I really like how these are done and can apply to a wide range of armys including Dark Eldar/Eldar or space wolves. Not to mention if you wanted more glyphs put on your mask and pull out your dremell.

-overall 8/10

I really like these bases, very high quality and they look good. They are 'rock' bases but his other lines such as street and 'alien' (bug) bases I would expect the same quality and attention to detail.

More pics for reference.
