It the region of space Southwest of the Dominion of Storms between Boras Minor and Balur is the Teirnan system. Within the Teirnan system only the fourth Planet has been inhabited. Found by Imperial explorers in M31, it was found to be partially terra-formed by a now extinct race. Imperial explorers landed their terra-forming machines and had the planet completely terra-formed by M32. Colonists living on Teirnan IV have always been a dutiful lot until recent decades when all communication with the planet stopped. A seed chapter from the Dark Angels gene stock has been tasked with investigating what has gone on with the planetary governor and/or government.

Trying a new route out of the Maelstrom a small legion of Chaos Space Marines are slingshot into the Dominion of Storms. From there they try to make their way to a Imperial Planet nearby to get resupplied for their next campaign against the False Emperor.

The Warp shudders from a tear in the Maelstrom. A group of Chaos Space Marines get the attention of the four. They follow their progress to a planet they know well. What the Imperials know as Teirnan IV was one of the great battlefields against the old ones. The four ever so rarely in agreement that if any race gets a hold of the undiscovered Technology in the bowels of that planet, then their days of terror may be at an end.

The Tau have been working with Allies to get faster than light travel accomplished. The test of a FTL ship causes a disastrous accident that leaves the Tau Battlefleet accompanying it stranded near the Dominion of Storms limping to Teirnan IV to land for repairs. For this group of Tau they are about fall from the frying pan and into the fire.

The new Warboss 'Eadbanger gots an idea. Get on spacehulk an get Waaagh!!! 'Eadbanger going. So 'Eadbanger got spacehulk and went to Jurn. Kicked ork butt, and became Big Boss of Orks on Jurn. Gots bored and decided to follow instructions on 'umie bottle: Rinse and Repeat. So 'Eadbanger gots on spacehulks and over shot systems and fell into Dominion of Storms then got spat back out right into Teirnan IV. He lost half his boyz, but deyz weak anyways. Now it’s time for Waaagh!!! ‘Eadbanger to resume on Teirnan IV.

The Fight for Teirnan IV has begun...

Rules and Guidelines

Teirnan IV has 12 Territories. Of the 12, each army has "landed" in one territory and claim it as their home base. The other territories have either been besieged by the Orks or still marginally defended by the Tiernan Guard. Once a player has been defeated off the Map they are eliminated.

Each mission will have 3 Mission objectives. Each has a campaign point value. The person with the most campaign points at the end will be victorious. Complete all 3 to capture the territory. A territory not captured is still considered disputed and will be a viable target to advance into. If it is advanced into by a different player then there may be a possibility of a three way battle for the territory. The player caught in the middle of this three way may field 250 extra points and have D3 stratagems.

Standard Battled will be waged on a 6x4 table with 25% terrain and deployment based on mission parameters. City fights will be waged on a 4x4 table full of terrain and deployment based on mission parameters.

  • Primary

The primary objective is worth 3 campaign points. It will be the same objective for both players.

  • Secondary & Tertiary

The secondary objective is worth 2 CP and will usually be different for one another. The tertiary will be worth 1 CP and will also be different.

At the beginning of your turn you may

  • Fortify

This means you can spend this turn in your main territory instead of attacking an adjacent territory. By doing this you may add D3 'strategems' from the handout to use in defense of your territory from other players.

  • Advance

This means you may advance into hostile territory. When you do so you will be given the mission parameters and variables.

To my Players: Please have an army list ready for each of the point values listed. Be ready to deploy as soon as opponents and mission parameters are handed out. Rules will be enforced with “Rules as written”. Make sure you have valid FAQs, Books, etc… for you armies. And last, but not least, this is a campaign to have fun.
