The Highborn Covenant Toolbox

While collecting your Highborn Covenant army, you will see use out of certain models again and again. After Starting with the Highborn Covenant, use the following models to expand for any Four Star Syndicate Army, the most flexible mercenary contract available.

What to Order

This Far, No Further!

Precursor Knights with the Precursor Knights Officer and Standard unit Attachment

  • PIP 42001 (minimum unit)
  • PIP 42002 (two blisters, two models each for a full unit)
  • PIP 42009 (unit attachment)

The knights by themselves are good. They give you plenty of tarpit to slow down enemy troops. However, the unit attachment is what makes them shine for the Highborn Covenant. With one they get the Ranked Attack Ability which allows the army to shoot over the heads of a unit standing with the shield Wall Order that also is protected with the Spell Ward Ability.

The Order of the Amethyst Rose

Arcane Tempest Gun Mages with the Officer

  • PIP 31086 (full unit)
  • PIP 31061(Gun Mage Officer)

Gun Mages in the Highborn Covenant represent the order of the Amethyst Rose. They have the same abilities as Cygnar's Gun Mages, but with one exception: Llaelese gun mages gain access to mercenary ranged warjacks to marshal with the Officer.

So imagine a Mule with Snipe, or Critical Brutal (to add on top of its Critical Devastation)...

Make Things Hit Harder

Lady Aiyana and Master Holt

  • PIP 41055

This duo will snipe at things with Master Holt's pistols until Lady Aiyana gets a good target to debuff. And when she debuffs it, everything hits that target with more damage, including Master Holt.

Warjack Staples

Nomad

  • PIP 41013

The Nomad provides a cheap melee warjack.

Solo Supremes

Gorman di Wulfe, Rogue Alchemist

  • PIP 41014

Gorman provides your warcaster with limited smoke cover and then turns around and Blinds fools who come too close.

Rhupert Carvolo

  • PIP 41015

Rhupert just adds versatility to your units. He makes them Tough, he grants them Terror, or he grants them Pathfinder.

Conclusion

Familiarize yourself with these Highborn Covenant tools, and you'll find a place for at least some of these models in many of your Highborn Covenant armies.
